1974 Jaguar e-type xke V12 4-speed manual Drop Head Coupe (DHC = convertible) - The car is Old English white over a deep navy blue and black console/dash trimmed interior with a decent deep navy (almost black) rag top. This car is a regularly driven survivor it is not a pampered show queen. It starts, stops, shifts, turns, runs without overheating and looks and sounds pretty good doing all those things but it is by no means perfect. There is a little blistering in the paint between the front edge of the doors and the back edge of the hood (see pictures) and the engine will offer up a little bit of valve clatter and blow-by but compression is good and the old girl pulls like a freight train and purrs thru its new stainless exhaust. 30-50 mile round trips are fairly routine and mileage is in the 12's but you must remember that you are driving an old, hand made, Lucas controlled Jaguar sporting car. If you don't know how to change oil or diagnose and repair a blown fuse an old Jag or an old anything is probably not a good choice for you. I burn no-ethanol premium and the car seems to like that. There are many, many, many new parts including all of the ignition and charging system, fuel system, cooling system, tires, every piece of rubber in the front end, shocks, etc., etc., etc... the car has earlier model bumpers but does come with the Federal bumpers if you are so inclined. A brand new rag top is also included as are all of the elements of the AC system which had been removed before I got the car. 37,624 is the actual mileage. I do really enjoy this sweetheart but I 'm selling this car to fund another.
