Vehicle Detail
1977 Dodge Factory Macho Edition Power Wagon. This is a rare factory 440, Automatic, Skylight/Sunroof Truck. The truck has many other options but is A/C and Radio Delete. This truck has gone through a comprehensive cosmetic restoration. Started as a clean, solid California black plate truck. First the body was Glass/Water blasted to the bare metal revealing a super solid body and roof. Second the truck was Epoxy sealed and primed. The truck was then disassembled. Doors, hood, tailgate, bed, skylight/sunroof, roll bar, grille, bumpers, inner fenders, lights, interior seats, frame, carpet, seat belts, door panels, door glass and vent windows, all glass and weatherstripping were all removed. Dents, dings and scratches were correctly repaired. The drivers floor pan had rust under the accelerator pedal, the pan was repaired and fat mat was installed prior the installing new juke padding and the carpet. The truck was primed and blocked several times then painted the correct Sliver Cloud and Low Glare Black. PPG Base coat clear coat. New NOS Emblems were installed. The interior seat frame and buddy seat console were striped and painted prior to being re-installed. The interior and door jams were painted the factory correct Silver Cloud while the interior was out. Also installed new Legendary seat upholstery, new buddy seat upholstery, NOS sun visors, NOS Seat belts (except drivers center belt) NOS Custom dash emblem and NOS door sills. The aftermarket steering wheel and shift lever were replaced with correct factory parts. The truck was then reassembled, all new weatherstrip including windshield, rear glass, full glass channels, door sweeps inside and outside. A new windshield was installed as the factory glass had a chip. The skylight/sunroof was re-installed with NOS plastic tabs and NOS latch assembly. New closed cell seal used on perimeter of glass with a small bead of silicone. I have a NOS seal for the skylight/sunroof but I could not get the fitment right (it is included with the truck along with a extra complete skylight/sunroof assembly). New door hinge pin bushings were installed as were new door handles and Mopar lock assemblies.. The inside of the bed was in very good shape (not beat up like most) The bed was coated with Herculiner, the roll bar and working new fog lights were installed. Phoenix Graphics factory stripe kit was installed. The bumpers were striped, painted and reinstalled. The rims were hand pinstriped to factory specs. The engine is the factory 440 with a 727 trans. The engine has a mild cam but retains almost all of it factory pieces ie: Factory carb, air cleaner, intake, exhaust manifolds etc... The truck runs and drives well, transmission was overhauled 1000 miles ago I have the receipt. NOS headlight harness was installed, a new/rebuilt distributor was installed as the original had some end play. The engine compartment, engine and transmission were not removed nor were they detailed or repainted. The inner fenders were removed, striped and repainted. This is a clean and very rare truck with some unusual options. I removed the cruise control while doing the work. I have it and it is included with the truck. (the speedo does not function with this out) It did work but is cosmetically challenged. The truck starts, stops and drives like a 40 year old Power Wagon should.... maybe a little better! The engine, transmission, brakes, lights all function properly. The speedometer does not work due to the cruise being removed, the vacuum and gas gauge also do not work. Temp. oil pressure and amp gauges work fine. The tires are New BF Goodrich 35X12.50X15 on factory spokes. The truck does have a lift kit. I also have a hitch setup for this truck, I also kept all parts removed. The original owners manual and emissions guide is in the glovebox. I also have a lot of adds and documentation on the Macho series trucks. I am sure I am forgetting plenty. Email me and I can send you 100s of pics of the truck before during and after restoration. I am selling because the truck is too tall to fit into the garage. Will take trade or partial trade for Muscle car or truck, pro street,. Maybe pro street. The truck is located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Bidders with less than 5 feedbacks will be cancelled unless you contact me first.
