86 Camry Up for bid is a 1986 Toyota Camry with just 23k one owner miles. Owner was 64 when she bought the car new. Very nice lower mile interior. Powered by Toyotas fuel injected 2.0L 4 cylinder with great reputation for longevity, and 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission. Delivers 22 mpg in town and 33 highway at 70 mph. Car was not garage kept so there is some paint lifting in places. Also, as a testament to the original miles, the car still sports the original Firestone F-560 tires. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all four cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. New fuel pump and filter. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR:Body: Body is in very nice shape with no notable damage beyond a few small dings, the worst of which is pictured on the trunklid. Above average body. Paint: Paint looks good from 10 feet but is very aged and peeling at edges. Other: Plastic bumpers and trim in good shape - not cracked. Windshield and all glass in good shape with no cracks or chips. Undercarriage is beautiful southern solid - see the pics. The only rust is some surface rust on the exhaust. Underhood is nice and relatively unmolested. Hubcaps have some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very nice shape as youd expect of the low miles. The only complaint is some staining on the drivers floormat. Dash has no cracks, cloth seating areas are in great shape, door panels are nice with no cracks or fading. Carpets are in nice shape with no major wear or stains. No smoke or pet odors. Way above average interior. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Has very few options but has hot heat and cold A/C converted to 134a, tilt, am/fm stereo cassette, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out nicely - smooth and tight as youd expect of 23k miles. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 50% tread remaining are very old and need to be replaced. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere after adding new tires. Im happy to have tires installed at your expense - Im near WalMart, Geralds, Firestone and other tire shops. I can drop off and have the brand of tire you want installed (another reason I didnt put tires on it - you might like a different brand than I.)
