For sale is a rare 1978 Pontiac Trans Am Y88 special edition They were only made for 6 months in 1978. Paint is fresh with correct B50 solar gold . T Tops are tinted gold which was only done on this special edition The following is new: Gas Tank, front and rear springs and shocks, rims, tires, front brakes, rear sway bar, tune up, all weatherstripping, complete interior, exhaust w/crossover, clutch, floor pans and most body panels.. The car has the Pontiac W72 400 engine with a new Edelbrock 600 performer carb with electronic choke. The quadrajet carb was a terrible invention and had to go. 4spd manual transmission. The engine has never been rebuilt and the mileage is unknown whether it is 51xxx or 151xxx. I also installed frame connectors to stiffen up the chassis. Car is not perfect, but it is an excellent driver and weekend car show competitor. Car runs very well and is a blast to drive. The fan control in the dash only works on high. I have the original build sheet which is in poor condition. I also have a printout of the car by vin which I obtained from Pontiac. It is a WS6 car but does not have rear disc brakes(bought it that way) Please ask questions and or feel free to come to Muskego Wi 53150 to look at in person.
