Here we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a limited edition 1978 Chevrolet Corvette L82 Indianapolis Pace car edition with 7,450 miles. This car was purchased by Glenn Donnelly on April 14th, 1978. Glenn Donnelly is quite a famous name in the racing world. He is the man that founded DIRT motorsports. Mr. Donnelly built one of the most successful sanctioning bodies in the motorsports industry, as well as opening the DIRT hall of fame and classic car museum in 1992. He is known as the dirt racing king. He purchased this Corvette and drove it straight to his classic car museum, where is sat for years. It was then purchased by a private buyer, was garage kept and driven to shows and the occasional joyride on beautiful winding upstate New York roads. This Corvette has been cared for better than a first born, and never neglected. It is a true classic collectors car, and will make for a beautiful timeless addition to any collectors garage. In hand I have the original 1978 car invoice from Fiermonte Chevrolet in Weedsport N.Y. The original purchase price of this vehicle was $18,500. Also in hand is the original cashiers check used to pay for the Corvette. All literature and manuals that came with the vehicle are in my possession as well. This car is number 984 of 6,502 pace cars produced. The Corvette is all original, never painted. The original tires are beautifully fresh and look like they have never been driven on. The first is an appraisal dated 7/24/1997 when the Corvette had 250 miles for the amount of $20,000. The second appraisal is dated 5/25/2006 for the amount of $32,000. All numbers are matching on the vehicle. The turning signal lever works, but is a bit loose, and I will ship out a replacement lever with the vehicle in case you would like to replace it. The covers for the removable glass top is in excellent condition and will ship with the vehicle. 2 sets of keys!!
