"Little Red" 2001 Honda Insight has been a great car for travelling on business. My job no longer requires that I provide a vehicle. Honda insight has averaged 47.7 MPG. Runs on synthetic oil in motor and transmission. Mechanical sound car in very good condition. Brakes operate smoothly and positive. Steers straight. Engine braking functions properly. Clear title. No major accidents. A timing chain (not a belt) driven over head camshaft are a feature on the 3 cylinder 1.0 L motor. It is known to deliver high mileages without any timing problem. Pulls away smoothly with IMA assistance. Engine stop functions properly. AC and heater work great. Honda stereo cassette replaced with a Alpine CD FM/AM player. At approximately 160,000 miles, IMA hybrid battery was replaced with a new Honda pack according to previous owner. I replaced CVT at 166,000 with a 61,000 mile guaranteed replacement transmission. Wilde Honda in Milwaukee did the transmission change out along with replacing radiator and motor service. The front tires are new Dunlop energy saver. Rear tires are half worn Falkin. Central locking system sometimes works off remote, other times it doesn't. The 12 V charger adapter doesn't work. I have checked fuses. Can't find problem. Because remote works inttermitantly, requires the key to operate rear hatch. there are two remotes and three spare keys. I have purchased a grid charger but never got around to installing. As a precaution should suspension start to wear. I purchased a pair of front suspension struts to replace at a later stage. I replaced 12 V battery with a top of the range Optima one month ago. Insight needs a good 12 V battery for the IMA to function correctly. I have full confidence purchaser could pick up car and drive anywhere. Please call Chris at (704) 737-4044 with questions.
