Vehicle Detail
2008 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED SAHARA I will attempt to list everything I have done to the jeep. The list is long but filled with awesome parts. Everything on the jeep works as it should. A/C blows ice cold, power windows and locks as well as factory CD player and subwoofer.I started with a 4" Procomp lift but used Bilstein 5100 monotube shocks on all four corners as well as the steering stabilizer. If you have never driven a vehicle with Bilstein shocks you are missing out. Truly the best shock made. It rides better than when the Jeep was stock. I added 38x13.50x18 Toyo Open Country MT's wrapped around Moto Metal 18X10 961's in black with color matched inserts. Speaking of color matched, as what probably grabbed your eyes from the start is the paint. The jeep has a custom blended anthracite colored linex coated paint job. If you haven't seen this in person then it's time to check that off your bucket list. It won't scratch or fade, it is very hard to dent, easy to clean (just hit it with a hose) and will last forever. Every time I drive this Jeep people just stare or take pitures. Most people haven't seen a paint job like this. If you don't like getting attention every where you go then this probably isn't the jeep for you.I also added Bushwacker flat flares to give it the right "Jeep" look and they were also painted to match. I used Rugged Ridge black powder coated aluminum hinge covers and tail light covers to give it a little contrast and protection. Also from Rugged ridge is the heat extractor hood that was also painted to match except for the heat extraction vents. Up front is a Smittybilt modular bumper. I just used the center section because I like the stubby look but mid width and full width end plates can be added as well as a stinger or bull bar. In the bumper is a Smittybilt 8,000 pound winch with synthetic rope.If you have ever owned a jeep you know that the factory lights are garbage. I upgraded the lights with KC lights that convert to H4 bulbs and then had Amber colored Oracle halo rings installed. I also added a 20" LED light bar to help with those night rides. I also added a set of Recon smoked front marker lights.Out back is a Warrior industries rock crawler bumper. I just wanted something back there to give strength and protection but didn't want some big crazy looking bumper. I replaced the factory spare with a Poison Spyder Tramp Stamp and tag holder. LED tag lights were custom wired to illuminate the tag and a pair of Delta industries auxiliary brake lights were frenched in to the tailgate to add additional brake lights for safety.Jeeps are meant to be driven with the top down. I added a spider web shades mesh top. It blocks out 95% of UV rays and really makes the jeep so nice to drive even in the middle of the day. The nice thing about the spider shade is that it never has to be removed. The soft top can be up or down and the spider shade never has to move. The soft top is a brand new Smittybilt fast back top. The side bars are also new. For getting in and out of the jeep I think the factory side bars are the best. If your gonna do some rock crawling you may want to switch those out for something steel or aluminum. To give the Jeep a little performance upgrade and a nice sound I added a Banks cold air intake up front and a Magnaflow stainless steel exhaust with dual tips. It makes the jeep really sound good but is not loud at all.Inside the jeep I pretty much left alone. I added Smittybily neoprene seat covers in black. I also added Mopar tire tread floor mats in the front and rear and a weather tech cargo liner in the cargo area. There has been less than 500 miles put on the jeep since all the work was completed. All work was professionally done by 4 Wheel Parts and Big D's Muscle Cars.Hopefully I haven't missed anything. Please feel free to ask any questions that you have. There are other Jeeps similar to mine on Ebay and Craigslist for two or three times the money. It's your turn to own a jeep that will make you stand out in a crowd for not alot of money.
