Up for auction and consideration is this 1973 BMW 2002tii in original Malaga (Burgundy) color with light brown interior color. THE CAR IS ALL MATCHING NUMBERS (engine, stamped chassis number, vin plate and steering column plate). I acquired the car as a trade and a number of mechanical repairs have been done to make the car driveable. For what I can tell (Title and Registration) this car was last registered in 2000. This Tii is a solid car with only two areas of known rust. The rust is located on the left and right rocker panel. Shock towers (both front and rear), spare wheel area and floorboards are solid. The car's undercarriage was undercoated at some point during its life; some of the undercoating was peeling off at the rear floorboard area which was removed showing the original BMW sealer; floor boards are very good. The undercarriage needs a good cleaning. Trunk was painted black. Battery relocated to trunk area. The paint (not original) condition of this Tii is a 20 foot paint. Pictures show it nice but realistically the car would need a paint job at some point of time if so desired. There are swirl marks paint discoloration and paint cracks in several places. The body is rust free and straight. Front nose was replaced at some point of time. Replacing of it shows to have been done professionally. The interior is in good condition. The carpet which was replaced several years ago is in very good condition. The seat upholstery is not torn and quite nice for its age. Headliner is not torn. Dash has a couple of cracks. Gauges work properly. ENGINE COMPRESSION CYLINDER: #1 145lbs; #2 150lbs; #3 150lbs; #4 150lbs BMW 2002s are appreciating more and more and having a Tii is a definitely a plus.
