You are viewing the ad for a 1958 Studebaker Transtar Pick-up which may be considered heavily altered. Bright yellow paint w/black accents, paint date unknown. The truck shows very well and wins local show prizes frequently. It is equipped with a Ford 429 cid Big Block, Weiand tunnel ram and 2 Holley 450 cfm carbs. The c-6 trans is adequate for the power level and shifts nicely. Both are less than 10,000 miles since rebuild. It is also equipped with Power rack and pinion steering attached to the original straight axle and is quite effortless to steer. The Air Conditioning works nicely in southern Az., where it currently resides.It has full gage instrumentation and they all work nicely. The steering wheel is a Grant wood version and very comfortable. The upholstery has been redone with less than 35 miles of travel since finished. We serviced the vehicle for 5 years for the previous owner prior to purchase. Payment of $250.00, non-refundable, at close of auction and balance due at time of delivery.
