This auction is for a 1974 Plymouth Barracuda project car. 318 V-8 auto ps,pb. This is one of several project mopar cars that we took in trade on a 71 charger rt that we owned The prior owner had it in his body shop where it was 95% stripped of it's paint . He had done quite a portion of the car but stopped when we made the trade. I sent it out and just finished sanding down the rest of the car and had it put in red tint primer. Who ever gets the car will probably strip it down and do the car right. The work that was done is probably amature at best.To give you a more indepth description it appears the front fenders had a repair patch down low , replaced outer rockers and lower rear quarter repairs. You could probably leave them like they are but a professional would want to do them better. Doors are in nice shape . Hood in good shape. trunk lid has some rust on the underside but is repairable. The underside is in fair shape . For the most part the floors are original solid. looking up from underneath I could see a tin patch on the drivers side floor section in between the front and rear floors. It appears they pulled the carpets and put the patch on the top side. The area is small and can be welded. Trunk pan has had a few fiberglass patches inner rear trunk extensions need replaced. Frame rails are all intact but I saw a couple of arears that had older repairs. Looks like they would clean up fairly easily. The tail end of the rear frame rails are getting thin and probably should be addressed. Interior is all intact but needs redoing. When we got the car the motor had been removed but I was assured it ran fine when pulled. I set it back in and bolted it in place for shipping. I put a lot of the other parts back on that had been removed prior to body work. The only thing left to install is the driver and passenger door glass. I just purchased them and they will be included with the sale. Window tracks and mechanisms are in place also we have the complete wire harness for the engine compartment.No question the car needs a complete restoration. These Barracudas are getting hard to find especially in project form so that the every day working person can afford one. It may be easier if you called so we can give you a complete and honest description of what the car is. If you need a title in your state we will register the car and give you the Maine registration which is the same as a title. It will be $150 extra for this service should you need it as I have to pay insurance and taxes on the car.
