PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING 1967 VW Beetle project. The body is currently separated from the chassis. The chassis has been completely restored already, everything on it is new except for the tires. The restoration on the chassis was done some time ago, so there are a couple rubber boots on the tie rods and ball joints that could use replacing. Other than that, the chassis is ready for a body to be dropped on it. New floors, throttle cable, clutch cable, fuel line, brakes, tie rods, ball joints, steering stabilizer, etc. The brakes are already bled and function properly. Please go over the pictures carefully. The body needs some metal work. It's not a rust bucket by any means, but it does have a couple of issue, all of which are pictured. The body appears to have been in a fender bender at some point in the front passenger corner. The body has been straightened out, but you can still see some evidence (pictured). The blue doors in the picture have rust and for some reason, the previous owner cut off the window frames. I do have a pair of red doors (pictured) to go with the car. The red doors have no rust and are complete with the glass, window regulators and door handles. The car does come with the glass (not pictured). It comes with (aside from the glass installed in the red doors) the windshield, rear side glass (without the pop out frames) and a NON-defrost rear window. The body also comes with rust free hood and deck lid. There are no fenders. The engine that comes with the car is a 1300cc in unknown condition. I was told that it ran when it was pulled, but I personally have not heard it run, it turns freely by hand. It does come with the carb and two distributors as well (not pictured). Transaxle is already installed in the chassis, complete with new mounts. THE MERCEDES WHEELS IN THE PHOTOS ARE NOT INCLUDED. Please contact me with any questions BEFORE bidding. The chassis and the body are separate, but the body can easily be put back on for transport. Winning bidder must send a $500 deposit at the end of the auction via paypal and the remaining balance is due at pick up within 7 days of the end of the auction in cash. (I will also accept a full payment via paypal). Shipping or pick up is the buyer's responsibility, but I will assist in anyway I can.
