Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1990 Dodge Ram W150 equipped with 5.2 (318 c.i.) V8 throttle body fuel injection and automatic overdrive transmission. Truck starts right up and runs good, does smoke a little on start up. This truck is 25 years old so its not perfect but the body and frame is pretty solid, there are a few rust spots on the truck but nothing too severe. If you look at the photos you can see it has the typical rust above the rear wheel wells and the drivers floor pan area had some areas where it was thin and through. I wire wheeled and cleaned the rusted floor areas and patched it with fiberglass as a semi permanent repair because I anticipated replacing the floor pan with a new metal one that I do have and does go with the truck. The floor pan area around the anchor point for the drivers seat belt was rusted through which I patched with fiberglass but also have a metal patch pan for this area too. The actual anchor for the seat belt is fully intact and not rusted, there is a picture I took from under the truck to show its solid. As for the frame and inside of the bed of the truck they are both in great condition and very solid. There is a brand new rubber floor mat that I bought for the truck that goes with it along with the floor pan pieces. Four wheel drive works with no issues, lights, wipers, horn etc.. works. When I got the truck I did a fair amount of work so here is the list: -all new rear brake hardware-new rear brake cylinders-new brake lines across rear axle housing-new rear brake shoes-rear axle seals-rear axle bearings-carrier bearings-spark plugs-distributor cap-rotor button-PCV valve-plug wires-have new pair of front brake pads that go with truck (pads on truck are fine) Transmission shifts fine when shifted manually on the column (no slipping or flaring) but when in drive doesn't shift very positively and kick down doesn't work, again if you manually pull it down a gear it's fine. I truly believe this is attributed to the kickdown linkage not being adjusted properly. On a side note overdrive works perfectly fine and turns on and off with the switch as it should. If you are looking for a decent first gen Dodge Ram that needs a little TLC to be a great truck this is a good start. Front tires are worn on insides but rears have plenty of life left. If you have any questions feel free to contact me as I am trying to represent this truck as accurately as possible. Truck is being sold as is where is no warranty given or implied.
