This beautiful, unmolested Medium Canyon Red Tbird Turbo Coupe came out of the Yuma area. It was owned by a retired couple from Oregon, that used it for the winter months when they were at their winter home. It has been very well taken care of, and maintained. I originally grabbed this up for the engine and transmission. It has the 2.3 turbo intercooled engine, and 5 speed transmission. The same combination that came in the SVO mustangs. After seeing how nice this car is, there was no way i was going to rob its power trai. So here it is, for some to enjoy this time capsule. This is an absolutely rust free turbo coupe, with 131,000 miles. It has never been modified, or abused. The original 2.3 turbo intercooled engine spools up like it should, shows no sign of any problems whatsoever. The 5 speed manual trans is the smoothest shifting manual trans I have ever driven. You can shit it with 1 finger. Clutch is nice and strong, and grabs like it should. The car is nice and tight on the highway, with no steering play whatsoever. The birds 4 wheel disc breaks stop the car just as you would expect. I have found NO mechanical problems at all. Everything inside the tbird works as it should. Cruise, power locks, power windows, horn, lights, fog lights, etc all work. The car has been converted to 134a and works, along with the heat. The previous owner mention that it might need a small shot of freon to be at its coldest. The body appears to wear most of its original paint, and shines beautifully. The top of the back bumper has some clear coat deterioration. It is an easy fix with sanding, base, and then clear. Not the whole rear bumper, just the top down to the black trim. The only part that I believe has had some paint work, is the rear passengers quarter panel. The previous owner said it received a small tap while in a parking lot, and was repaired. Nothing hard, or structural. Paint match was excellent. There is a small scratch and chip on that quarter panel. The underneath is just as clean as the top. Any reddish color u see underneath in the pictures, IS NOT RUST, it is the reddish sand that we have here in Arizona. AGAIN, NO RUST, NONE! The interior is in excellent shape with no rips or tears that i can find. Dash has no cracks. Neadliner and door panels are in good shape. The interior could benefit from a good detaling. Again this came from a really sandy, and dusty area. See the last few pictures, and you will understand the area it came from. I drove this car for 50 miles this weekend. That is all the time i have behind the wheel. With that said, I did not notice any problems with the car. It seems to be a very road worthy car. But, please remember this is a 28 year old car, so I can not give any guarantees, or warranties. My description is from my observations, and should not be your only factor in purchasing the car. I am starting this car at $19.87 with no reserve. I will let the market determine its value. Do your homework, and ask all your qustions before you bid. I have a clear Arizona title that i just put in my name. I reserve the right to end the auction if there are any last minute bid retractions, or bidding irregularities. The title will be signed, notarized, and turned over to the new owner when the car leaves my possession. A $300 non-refundable deposit do via paypal at the close of the auction.
