Up for bid is a 1991 Pontiac 6000 Safari 3 seat wagon with 99k one owner miles. Lifelong Richmond Virginia car - no body rust, near perfect original paint, and super solid undercarriage. Loaded up with power everything. Exceptionally nice low mile interior. Powered by GMs 3.1L V6 with great reputation for longevity prior to 94s intake manifold gasket debacle, and 4 speed automatic transmission - plenty of power for a 3200 lb car. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all six cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in very nice shape with no notable damage beyond a stray door ding. Above average body. Paint: Paint is nice and shiny everywhere. All original paint. Has a few normal-wear scratches/chips as expected of age. Way above average for 24 years old - nicer than many 5 year old cars. Other: Lower plastic trim on right rear quarter has a crack. Windshield has a rock chip as seen in pics. Undercarriage is beautiful southern solid - see the pics. Underhood is nice. Hubcaps are in good shape. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very nice shape as youd expect of the low miles. The only complaint is some headliner sagging. Dash has no cracks, cloth seating areas are in perfect shape, cargo deck carpet in good shape with a couple small stains, third seat like new, steering wheel is in nice shape, door panels are nice with no cracks or fading. Carpets are in nice shape with no major wear or stains. ON-OFF-RES lettering on multi-function stalk still clearly visible. No smoke or pet odors. Above average interior. Drivers master window switch panel lifted about 1/8 inch but does not fall out. In the glovebox is still the "We Build Excitement" factory Pontiac cassette. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) All the power options work including power windows, power locks, hot heat and cold A/C converted to 134a in 2008, tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, intermittent wipers, fog lights, and rear defroster. Note that though the radio works, only 2 of the speakers make sound. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out nicely. Steering is tight, alignment is good, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with good linings. Tires have about 90% tread remaining on a matched set of Firestone radials. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.)
