In 1998, they redesigned the pickup and gave it a new name; the Frontier which is still considered among the most reliable and popular trucks in its class. This super low-mile 2000 Frontier XE comes equipped with an extended passenger compartment with dual jump seats and a 143-horsepower, 2.4-liter inline four cylinder engine with four-speed automatic transmission which can tow 2,000 pounds. Other equipment includes ABS brakes, ICE COLD air conditioning, power steering, sliding rear window and AM/FM cassette stereo with in-dash CD player. Finished in the most desirable color combination; red with light gray cloth interior, this Frontier is a cut above the rest. With the exception of a few small dings, chips and scratches, the finish looks great. The lower left and right corners of the tailgate have minor damage to the sheet metal (see photo above) but it still opens and closes properly. The BedXTender Silver Max Bed Extender aluminum-tube assembly has a “U” shape design to provide the largest amount of corralled space of any bed extender. Flip it inside and close the tailgate to keep tools and smaller cargo contained in the truck bed or flip it over with the tailgate open to gain two extra feet of fenced cargo area. Ideal for carrying ATVs, motorcycles, and other bulky cargo that won’t fit in your bed. A chip in the paint and the damaged sheet metal on the lower-right side of the tailgate can be seen in the above photo. There are a few panels including the right rear of the bed and the left front fender that were fixed and re-sprayed due to a minor parking lot mishap last summer. Otherwise, the paint is 100% original and there is zero rust, frame or major collision repair. Brand new radials are mounted to 16” alloy wheels which still have amazing detail. Inside, the Frontier Extended Cab has a spacious interior with a bench seat configuration that provides seating for 3 in the front. The freshly reupholstered cloth interior is absolutely flawless.
