1986 Honda Shadow 500 in fair to good condition with a little over 20K miles, husband purchased to get the Ohio MC Endorsement back. Spent $1,700.00 to purchase the bike on eBay in 2008 and nearly $800.00 on repairs (at Middletown Cycle, still have receipt if requested) in same year to provide him the opportunity to take the Ohio MC endorsement test. Got his endorsement and never had the need to drive this bike again because as it is far too small for him (Think Former NFL Lineman), therefore, parked it in the garage, kept covered, started it monthly, kept battery maintained. Motorcycle, as previously stated, is too small for my husband and his recent health issues forces us to sell. Motorcycle has been garaged kept and under a cover since purchase. Pictures show good condition of bike with no rust and mileage changed very little (approx. 200 miles, 40 mi. each way to MC repair) since first purchased. Bike starts and runs with no problem, rear brakes need adjusting as they are tight when first taking off before loosing up. Both tires were purchased at MC repair facility, front tire clearly still demonstrates same, although we believe, according to our research, we were sold an ‘old shelf life tire’ (a terrible common practice according to the manufacturer) and that is why it got weather checking first year while being garage kept all along. There are some dings and damage to the rear right turn signal as evidenced in the pics. None of which we put on bike in any way, looks as though it was dropped on its side, not laid down while driving though. We do not and cannot warranty it, although we stand by what is stated in this ad to be true upon first inspection.
