This rare Pontiac GTO RA III with under 19,000 original miles, is the FINEST of its kind available anywhere. This 1970 GTO Ram Air III has only 18,712 original miles, original numbers matching 400 Ram Air III engine, original numbers matching M20 4-Speed transmission, original numbers matching 3.55 rear axle, and 95% of the components under the hood are original as well. How many all numbers matching GTO Ram Air III cars have you seen lately? The fact is that 99% of the RAIII cars that are out there do NOT retain their original drivetrain. These cars were raced hard, and usually lost their original block very early on. It is nearly impossible to find a ‘real’ Ram Air III GTO with its original motor & transmission. This car was purchased and owned locally in Thunder Bay by 3 previous owners, and now the current 3rd owner, is donating the proceeds of this auction to Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario, a children’s summer camp for children with cancer. The General Motors of Canada production documentation will be provided with the vehicle verifying the originality of this RA III GTO. It is as close to ‘flawless’ as you will ever find. The 100% rust-free sheet metal is absolutely straight all of the way around the car, and the non factory correct Orange (original colour was Palladium Silver code 14 with 2B- Black top) paint is simply 100% perfect! All of the chrome & bright work is show quality throughout. Open the door and it’s only more of the same. The factory correct (Code 258) Black Bucket-Seat Interior is near perfect from front to back. From under the dash to the headliner, everything is factory correct, and original. All gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work like new! Under the hood, nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay, you will find the original numbers matching Ram Air III (WW) motor linked to the original numbers matching M20 4-Speed transmission which feeds power to the original 3.55 rear axle. Again, 95% of the components such as RAIII heads, intake, carburetor, exhaust manifolds, etc. are original to the car! She starts, idles, drives & performs perfectly in every way! The RAIII motor runs super-strong and has loads of torque. The undercarriage is absolutely perfect and is as nice as the topside (see photos). On Feb-20-15 at 13:41:22 PST, seller added the following information: A really great guy Named Bob has worked with me today to validate the components, I was only allowed to post one picture (Ebay Rules), I posted the picture of the engine block showing the matching VIN numbers, I could not post the picture of the engine block numbers showing it as #0169041 WS. I made a mistake in the description using WW engine, it is a matching WS engine! I have a picture of that part number stamped on the block and of the heads, that show them stamped as "1, 2".
