Top-of-the-line (4-porthole) Electra 225 in a very rarely seen 2 door hardtop. Antique white with saddle brown interior. Fully optioned car that spent most of it's life in the Austin TX area. Very straight and rust free. All trim present and excellent. Has all the desirable options available in 1962: 401 Nailhead V8 with 4bbl (top engine option) Dynaflow automatic Bucket seats & console Power steering & brakes Power windows Power antenna Power drivers seat Sonoramic radio with front & rear speakers Remote trunk release FACTORY A/C Everything works great except the clock! FM converter under the dash that plays through the Sonoramic AM radio. Car runs and drives excellent. Engine is strong, trans is super smooth and brakes are excellent. The car was restored in 1981 and garaged ever since. Paint still looks great and I can't find any evidence of bondo or previous body repairs. It has obviously been a well cared for car it's entire life. Floors, trunk, rockers and quarters are 100% solid. 86k miles. Recent work: the original A/C worked well but leaked. I had all the components in the system replaced with modern R134a components at great expense by Custom Car Cool in Houston (Google it for website). New evaporator, condenser, compressor, all lines, etc. I also replaced the weak original generator with a 90 amp PowerGen alternator (looks like factory generator but with modern internals). New water pump as well. Less than 200 miles since this work was completed. The quality of this car is noticeably higher than a Chevy of the same year - everything is very solid and well built. You will have the only Electra coupe at the meet, as compared to the 14 Impalas that always show up. This car really needs nothing but another hobbyist to drive and enjoy it. Clear Texas title in my name and also includes a nice set of 1962 black plates. I also have the original hubcabs.
