Up for bid is a 1996 Buick Roadmaster Limited Estate Wagon with 122k miles. Exceptionally nice shape for miles. Dallas TX area car its whole life. Clean history report. Collectors Edition like every 96 Roadmaster. No rust, nice paint, and beautiful undercarriage. Loaded up with power everything. Boasting GMs Corvette inspired multiport injected 5.7L LT1 V8 engine and 4L60E 4 speed automatic transmission, she puts down plenty of power. Tow package 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 & G80 build codes). Trailer preparation "tow package" means the factory rated the car to pull 5000 lbs but has no hitch (despite trailer prep name, these did not come from the factory with hitches so all hitches are aftermarket.) Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in very nice shape with zero rust. Has a minor ding on the roof, a few on the hood, and a small ding near the Roadmaster emblem on the right rear quarter, all seen in pictures. Dead straight down the sides. Above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice for age. One small scratch on hood, one on right rear quarter down low, both pictured. Still above average for age. Wood: Upper wood trim was removed, painted tan and reinstalled so it wont peel like most do at this age. The side panel fake wood is in great shape (still shiny, not faded, clearly garage kept or, as a Dallas car, the wood would be faded) with a couple small chips touched up with tan paint as seen in pics. Other: Lower stainless bright trim is very nice with no notable dings - even the front bumper bright trim (which usually has at least a few parking lot dings) is near perfect. Both bumpers have some slight scratches but no cracks. Rubber side trim is all there. Windshield has one rock chip as pictured. Undercarriage is Dallas nice - I love Dallas undercarriages with all that pavement - see the pics. Underhood sheet metal, tailgate sill and door jambs have no rust as seen in pics. Aluminum wheels are in good shape with a little brake dust stain. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is in very nice shape. There is a crack in the drivers door panel as seen in pics. Dash has no cracks and is still shiny. Leather seating areas are in great shape, leather is still soft (more evidence of garage kept life), one small tear near passenger lumbar panel. Carpet in seating area is very nice, cargo deck carpet in good shape. Headliner is nice - not sagging. Steering wheel is in nice shape with no major dye wear. No smoke or pet odors. Very nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, horn, wipers, etc.) Except for the drivers heated seat, which works intermittently, and the power antenna, which goes up only 2/3 of the way, all other power options work reliably, including power windows, power locks, dual power seats with power lumbar and power recliners, hot heat and cold A/C (newer dryer and compressor), tilt, cruise, am/fm stereo cassette, power antenna, rear window release, rear wiper, twilight sentinel, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out very nicely. Steering is tight, alignment is dead on, suspension is tight. Brakes work well with new linings up front, about 60% remaining rear. Tires have about 90% tread remaining on a matched set of Hankook whitewall radials. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks. Check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) No complaints - drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours.
