So I have finally decided to sell my 1971 Chevelle. I have had this car since I was nearly 13 and am now 23. Anyway enough of that, so the car is a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. The reason I am selling the car is because there was recently a hailstorm that passed through and it did some minor damage to the car and I don't have the money to repair it, plus I am in college so I don't have much time to work on it either.The damage from the hailstorm you may be able to see from the picture's, there was some damage to the front windshield, and there are some dents in the outside. Also some of the emblems got knocked off the car too, but you can always get new ones.So about the car, it was originally a 307, but now has a 355 engine. The engine was recently rebuilt and cost around $2500. The transmission is a standard 350 Turbo-Hydro. The car has had the drive shaft rebuilt too, and had new carpet put in around two years ago.The car is just primer grey right now as you can see from the pictures, it look's good though and has gotten lots of compliments. So the main problems with car, is there is something wrong with the light's I have tried multiple new bulbs and the lights still don't work, however all of the brake light's and turning signals still work so i'm not sure what the issue is. Also as you can see from the pictures,there are some tears in the seats and on the outside of the body their is some rust starting to form and some chipped primer. I should add that I did put in a custom sound system, I have two pioneer speakers in the two front doors. There is two pioneer speakers in the back below the rear windshield and I also added a alpine radio to it also, with a Ipod hookup. Overall the car is in really good shape despite it being 44 years old! The car still run and drives really well, and the engine has quite a bit of power. I have taken pretty well of the car, but despite that there has been some damage from it being left out in the weather. Rust has started forming until the rear fender wells. Also there are some places on the body where the primer has chipped and came off and surface has formed. . Like I said above there are also some dents from the hailstorm but anyone that is going to restore the car would have to deal with that anyway. You should be able to see from the pictures that the car is in very decent shape overall though. I will try to add some close up pictures of the windshield and dents that the hail made, because they are fairly small and hard to see unless you get up close to them. Well that's about it, and I hope whoever is able to buy this car has as much fun with it as I have had these past years.
