1979 Chevrolet CorvetteWhite exterior (paint code 10) with tan interior (592)L82 engine with 45,000 miles on it.Car runs and drives but has not seen the road in MANY MANY years.this car was parked by the first owner and it sat for while,then it was purchased b y owner number 2 where it sat fir a while again. Owner 3 gave it a new home, got it running and lost the bit for the restoration.The initial assesment.Car starts up but seems to need an adjustment of the choke. I am sure that a quick cleaning of this carb and a tune up will be cure this issue..Once warm (2 minutes) car idles like a sewing machine.Has brakes , but would inspect, leak at right rear , previous owner advised it was a line issue, caliper had been rebuilt.Nice mirror glass t-tops, gaskets are ok, but easy enough to replace. NeedsNeeds paint. Straight car with no obvious damage... minimal cracks, very few actually. Door gaps are good. Hood latch was removed (I have it) for easier access to engine. Lower radiator hose needs to be replaced, and lets be honest, do them all.Interior carpet has been removed, floor pans are rust colored but not rusted. No holes in frame or floor pans. Solid car. I included a picture of the brake pedal and gas pedal to illustrate the fact that this is a 45,000 mile car. Light wear, original part.Interior is apart and is in need of cleaning (door panels / console) Needs new carpets and seat upholstryDash cover is weak, gauges are strong.Car came with the Rallye wheels, Left rear wheel needs a new tire, I have the rallye wheel but , the beauty ring for that is damaged, cap is good.I also have a set of slotted aluminum mags with BF Goodrich T/A Radials with lots of tread and no dry rot, that are available for purchase if you win the car and want that look. Original AC car.AC is apart but I have all original parts for the restoration.As in the case of most C3's needs rubber kit for doors/ windows etc. not too bad, but worth doing.I have driven this car on and off a trailer. No road test. This is a project that will need some mechanical remedies.However, it is a great, solid candiate for a restoration, and its only sin, is lack of use.
