Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 2007 Forester XT Sports, World Rally blue. If you have stumbled across this auction, you probably know how rare it is to find one of these in this color. Right now it is a 3rd car and simply does not get driven enough to justify keeping it around. I currently have a loan on it, so the title will be made available once paid off. This was a clean 1-owner trade in on a new Audi at Newton Audi in Newton, NJ. Here is the rundown: 2007 FXT Sports World Rally Blue about 185k miles and rising - still being driven 2.5L Turbo engine, same as 06-07 WRX and very similar to STI 1 owner until 172K miles 4EAT Auto with vehicle dynamic control and traction control No mods...EVER. 100% stock Body: Overall in good shape, cleans up really nice. Has a few misc dings here and there. Rear bumper shows some parking scuffs and is the worst part of the body. There are some scratches and key marks that happened at the dealership before I got it, which I touched up. They are around most of the car. I tried to capture them but they are very hard to see unless you are in person. Any competent detail should be able to buff the majority of them out. I can attempt to take better pictures but it is nearly impossible to see them through the camera. Windshield has a crack across the mid-lower portion. No rust or rot. Small bubble under the paint in the gas filler area, thats it. I can more specific/better pictures of the key marks/scratches as the bidder's request. Interior: Interior is also in pretty nice shape. The seats are not worn more than typical, and are not torn. Has dual heated front seats, massive sunroof, factory 6 disc CD changer with MP3 input, factory subwoofer, power everything except seats. Some wear on the shifter/surround, arm rests, and steering wheel expected for the mileage. Driver's side power window motor is weak, but still works. Some marks on the rear door cards (in the upper rubber/foam section) Engine/Trans: Headgaskets, timing belt, and waterpump done @ 172K by the dealer that I purchased it from (I requested the paperwork but I doubt they will give it to me since it was done about a year ago). Radiator replaced prior to the car being traded in @ 172K miles. Engine runs great. I have run synthetic with ~5k oil change interval and it will use about a quart of oil every 5k miles. Engine oil, filter, ATF, filter, spark plugs, one coil pack, outside temp sensor, and front diff oil changed at 184k miles. 4EAT AWD trans with VDC and traction control. Shifts well. never any issues. This auto is cool because it has 55% power bias to the rear in normal driving conditions. AC blows warm, probably needs to be recharged. The gasket by the cat has a leak that you can hear (typical soft "chug" noise if you know what I mean) and see puffing only when it is cold out. Has no CEL and has passed CT emissions. 100% stock, never modified or beaten. Suspension/Drivetrain/Brakes/Undercarriage: Pads and rotors are brand new as of 184,500 or so miles. Suspension and steering is tight. Tires are off-brand all seasons with roughly 75% front and 50% rear tread remaining. Wheels are stock with a few rash spots but nothing too bad. Undercarriage is relatively clean, I hit any questionable spots with rustoleum to prevent surface rust (just like the dealer would). Heatshields on the exhaust manifolds and other misc steel engine lower parts are getting crusty like they typically do in new england. This car Has towing package with 1.5" hitch and wiring/ Hitch has some surface rust but nothing that wuold prevent its use. The only thing I used it for (only once) was for a Thule cargo box. Some work needed eventually: - Windshield is cracked - Cat Gasket slight leak - AC does not blow cold - Slight weep of coolant from oil cooler - Slow leak of ATF from cooler line near radiator - cleaned connection and re-clamped, should be fine These issues have not prevented me from getting where I needed it to take me in the last 10k miles. You can hop in this car and drive anywhere. As I said, still passed CT emissions and has no CEL or codes. Overall, this car is awesome. I get questions and compliments wherever I go. Despite the mileage, it shows really well. Don't let the mileage scare you, it has been well maintained and it shows. I just don't use it enough to justify keeping it, and certainly don't need a 3rd car that is this nice. I only put about 10k miles on it this year. In October, it took us on our honeymoon from CT to FL for a 4,000 mile round trip without one issue. Title is clean and will be released from the bank when funds are received to pay off the remainder of the note. Located in Harwinton, CT 06791. Car is sold as-is, where is. I have done my best to describe the vehicle honestly and accurately but there may be unforeseen issues that were not known at the time of this listing. Anyone who does not look at a vehicle in person before buying is a fool, therefore it is HIGHLY encouraged that all bidders set up a time to do so prior to bidding.
