Vehicle Detail

1912 Ford Torpedo. model t ford roadster. Original 1912 Ford model T serial number 106735 for motor, body number 155193(1st number may be a letter can't really tell) car number brass tag #103223(the second #2 may not be a 2 it is very faint stamping}. This torpedo was formerly owned by well known brass car collector Guy Carr of Beaverton Oregon. He restored the car is the 1960's and drove it from Oregon to the HCCA national tour in Mexico then drove it back to Oregon. Guy and his wife toured extensively over the years with this Torpedo. It was sold to a private collection where that owner freshened up the car recently. It has 4 new fenders, 2 new splash aprons, 2 new running boards, 4 new wheels and rims, 4 new tires and tubes. a new aluminum hood, a new Brass works radiator, freshened motor with all new stainless valves, gaskets and new Tru-fire solid state ignition system, nos brass hub fan, rear brake shoes are new and the lined type. There is a small rum Ruxstell axle freshly restored and operational.A starter has been added and wired and it starts quickly and easily. The lettered pedals were installed in the transmission cover and the original aluminum hogs head goes with the car. The front end was restored using NOS may west shackles and new oilers , king pins and bushings installed. The rear end may west shackles are also NOS with new oilers and grease cups installed. New rear wheel seals were installed at the same time. The exhaust system is also new. The transmission was rebuilt and new Kevlar linings were installed, as well as the modern hydro clutch disc set. The wood in the body is in very good solid condition, doors open and close as they should. As this is a older restoration some paint chips and cracks are present, there is no rust out or deeply pitted metal on the car or chassis. It has the original frame with bolt on rear body brackets. The DB front axle is correct as well as the correct steering unit, coil box and speedometer. The brass was restored by a professional brass lamp restorer when the car was restored. This was a solid original car when originally restored not assembled out of pieces. It originally came out of Deer Lodge Montana. It starts quickly and runs well has good power and stops as a model t should. This car should offer many trouble free miles of touring. Our reason for selling is we had to buy this one to get the one we really wanted and have no room to keep both cars. Offered with a motor vehicle title.
