Up for auction is a true California 3 owner all original barn find survivor 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau still wearing its original California Black License Plates.same owner since 1985 sitting in a barn since 2000. Soon after acquiring this bird we installed a battery and changed the carburetor (I have the original carburetor that goes with the car)she fired right up after 14 years of sitting.The engine is the original 390 V.8 engine with original 111,114 miles.The engine sounds great and starts right up every time.After sitting so long it will need some normal maintenance and tuning to be a very clean daily driver.Runs and drives good, transmission shifts smooth, and has plenty of power.All the power options work fine, I have never checked the air-condition or the heater. The body is showing excellent for the age of the vehicle.A couple of small dents here and there , and some minor surface rust (pictured below)Paint is original and untouched, it appears some time in its life the passenger door was repainted so I'll say its 90% original paint.All the trim is in good shape, and the fender skirts are in good condition. The interior is great condition with only minor wear to the driver seat (pictured below)The headliner is falling down a little but can easily be fixed.The interior is untouched and original and is showing great.Its hard to believe but the vinyl top is the original top when the car was built , and is in great condition.Tilt away steering wheel and the original 8 track player. A great survivor Thunderbird that won't need much to be enjoyed the way it is.Remember they are only original once. Comes with a clean and clear California Title.
