You are bidding on a 1963 Cadillac Series 62 coupe. I am selling this for my mother as part of my step-father's estate. This car was purchased as a project car. Work was started on the restoration, but was not completed. This car has been stored indoors at all times. Exterior: Work was begun to clean up and repaint the car, but was not completed. Most of the chrome trim was removed and the body was sanded down in preparation for painting. All the trim pieces are here, but will need to be reinstalled once the car is repainted. The chrome is in very good condition with a few blemishes here and there, but no real pitting. Unless you want an out and out show car, re-chroming probably isn't required. The sheetmetal is solid all the way around this car. The door sills, body panels, trunk floor and interior floor pans have no rust through at all. Even from below the car is solid. I tried to include some pictures beneath the car as best I could. Interior: The interior is currently removed from the car but all the pieces are included. The upholstery needs cleaning but is in solid condition, with no holes. The door cards pictured are in good condition. The one on the left side of the picture is not faded. It was just stored on top of the other one and is dusty. The interior carpeting is not included. He had probably planned to replace that. Engine & Mechanicals: The 390 V-8 engine has not been rebuilt and the car has not been run for about eight years, though it was in running condition at the time he began restoration work. The engine bay is solid but will need to be cleaned up if you are looking for a show car. The battery tray will need to be replaced. As you can see in the picture, it has rusted through. That's really the only rust issue that I see on the car. As the engine has not been run for years, buyer will need to have this car towed home. General: This car is being sold as-is with no warranty. I have additional pictures but was limited by Ebay to just 24 for this listing. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if a local buyer is found. If you would like to view the car, please contact me to make arrangements and please do not ask me what the reserve price is. $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the end of auction, and one week to make payment in full unless you contact me to make other arrangements. After that time the car will be re-listed. Will accept payment via cash, or bank check only. Buyer is responsible for any shipping. No foreign bidders or bidders with zero feedback.
