Vehicle Detail

1965 Oldsmobile F-85 Deluxe. This is the best parts car I have ever seen. NO BODY or FRAME RUST. Even the battery tray and core support has no rust. Use it as a donor to restore a 442 or restore it and drive it. This is a 50 year old survivor and has always been in the state of Florida. Bought new in Palm Bay, Florida. I bought it from an estate. All systems work including factory AM Radio and aftermarket FM adapter, Air Conditioning and Heater blower, wipers, power steering, etc. Even has original tire jack. Air Conditioner is complete and of course needs Freon. The compressor does turn. This car drives and brakes are good. It appears to have been cared for with new front end bushings, tie rods and ball joints and has working air shocks on rear. Also, new transmission kick down switch (not presently reproduced). Engine does not smoke and starts instantly. Odometer reads 98,470 and speedometer does work. The former owner had begun a restoration so the interior was disassembled. I put it back. Two window regulators are missing. Also, he did light body work. You can see the primer areas. Floors and trunk do appear to have been patched and sealed at some point in the past. Here is the bonus! You also get the parts for a complete engine overhaul with this deal. Everything is there…new 40 over pistons, rings, bearings, all valves, lifters and springs, etc. Look at the picture of the box of parts. Also, included is an NOS oil pump for the automatic transmission and new blue carpeting that was never installed and is in the trunk. Also, included is new weather stripping for the doors still in the package. Notice that the bumpers have no dents, which is amazing for a car that has been on the road for 50 years. All trim chrome is present and condition is good. The tail plate and rear lights are the worse of the lot with the usual pitting. Front bumper has a small rust through area where it bolts to the support. See picture. Every GM A body frame that I have restored always had major rust and damage issues. This is the best that I have seen with no hits or rust anywhere that I can find. Never been in a salt area. I have restored two 65 442s and wish that I had this car as a donor. I no longer have the facilities to do restorations so I am selling the car. Hood and trunk have no rust in the webbings and will strip down for new paint with minimal body work. Paint does have some bubbles which I have tried to catch in the pictures. The parts are worth much more than my asking price if you want to take the time and break down the parts to restore another Cutlass or sell. I will also include two used starters that came with the car. Will drive on to a trailer or car carrier under its own power. Clear Florida Title and the original protectoplate with manual comes with the car. On Dec-15-14 at 06:28:41 PST, seller added the following information:
