Vehicle Detail

This is a 1929 Ford Roadster that I reluctantly should sell due to health issues. I have a clean California title in my name, but the car is referred to as a 1930. I have paper work to show the car is 1929, but was sold in 1930. I never mentioned it to DMV. The car has a new 4 cylinder Chevy Nova motor disguised to look like a vintage engine. It has a Frontenac valve cover, a Burns Model A intake manifold with two Stromberg 81 carburetors. The motor is .040 over, and has been zero decked for a compression ratio of about 9 to 1. It has a Isky hydraulic cam, with some mild port work on the intake side. It has a Lakes style header that has a baffle installed. The motor hooks up to a good used 39 Ford transmission, and a 40 Ford 4.11 rear end. I have a Chevy flywheel that has been drilled to accept a Ford pressure plate and clutch assembly. The torque tube has been cut to fit the car, but no drive shaft has been made as yet. It has a nice set of BLC headlights, and a really good set of brakes and drums. A radiator has not been purchased, and is not included. The roadster has four NOS lever arm Delco Love Joy shocks, and a new Sids dropped axle. All the king pins, and tie rod ends are new. It has 16" wheels. The tires are used and were installed to allow movement in the garage. I had intended to use big and little black walls. Much of the fabrication is tack welded to allow for changes if necessary. The body on this car is surprisingly straight, but has some rust issues. The deck lid has ripples that will require bodywork. I have taken pictures of the areas affected. Lower cowl, lower quarter, lower doors, lower wheel wells. I have purchased many of the patch panels, but they have developed surface rust while in storage. Please see the pictures. Body sub rails are in good condition. Please do not expect perfection. This car has been assembled with 86 year old components that will need to be cared for. The grill has wonderful patina, but is cracked and bent a bit near the crank hole. Splash aprons and hood are ok, but will require restoration if used. I have two drawers full of parts I kept for this car, along with many shown in the photos. I really prefer that you inspect the car prior to your purchase. You can call me at 619-820-2102 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Pacific time with any questions. Thanks and good luck! On Dec-11-14 at 17:13:16 PST, seller added the following information: I just discovered that the roadsters ID number on my ownership paperwork, doesn't match the frame number Ford stamped in during the manufacturing process. I have a selection of registrations going back to 1956 for this car. All of them until the current computer generated paperwork say "engine or ID number". I suspect the number shown on the registration paperwork reflects an engine that is long gone. The numbers on the frame are completely legible but are not shown on the paperwork. This was not a problem when I registered the car in California, but I wanted you to know. Thanks
