Vehicle Detail
I am selling this show car Corvette for a friend of mine. It has won many Corvette only car shows over the years. To start with, please call me before you bid for honest answers. Better yet, come by and inspect the car or have someone do it for you. I do the best I can describing my cars, and I include many pictures, but it is impossible to list every little thing that may or may not be important to a buyer. I do not like misunderstandings on either side. I listed this car as having only 20,000 miles. I did that because it was totally taken apart mechanically and rebuilt from the ground up and the 20,000 represents the approximate miles since the total rebuild. The actual mileage is around 112,600. It was purchased in 2002 with 92,400 true highway miles on it. Yes, it was only 2 years old at that time and I have the documentation to prove that all of those miles were put on it in the first 2 years. Shortly after acquiring the car, he set out to change many things around to make it the car he wanted it to be. Up front I want to say that I have most original documentation on this car including window sticker, sales brochures, etc. I also have most receipts from the extensive rebuild and pictures of the work as it was being done. This car has always been garaged and extremely well taken care of. It has only averaged about 1600 miles a year since the rebuild. Exterior: The paint is original and in super nice shape. The color is " Navy Metallic" The graphics on the side are vinyl and can be easily removed with just a hair dryer. The top is in great shape. It has a $12,500.00 custom hood and other tasteful exterior mods. The wheels are very expensive I Forged Performance Alloys. 20s and 19s. Tires are also very expensive high speed rated Continentals from Germany. 305/25-ZR20 on rear and 265/30-ZR19 on front. Wheels and tires alone were over $5,000.00. It has drilled rotors and SS braked trim pieces. It has a 1" lowering kit installed. Interior: It is also original and in excellent shape. It is all leather and the color is Light Oak with black trim. It has the heads up display. Chrome roll bars (2). Super expensive stereo system consisting of Audiobahn and Alpine components. There is a separate battery location in the trunk to handle the power from this stereo unit. Pillar gauges and other interior mods. There is custom LED show lighting under the hood and in the trunk. Mechanical: I will do the best I can here, but there is so much to list, I will only hit on the high points. The car was changed from an automatic car to a 6 speed manual car using all factory components from another 2000 Corvette. The rear end was modified to a 3:73 ratio with custom high performance gears and clutch set up. All new bearings, seals, bushings, brakes, rotors, etc. The shifter is a custom short throw B&M with a Hurst shifter. The engine was completely disassembled and rebuilt with higher performance parts to bring it up to 525 HP at the flywheel and 450 HP at the rear tires. Aluminum heads, roller cam, etc. It also has a ZEX NOS system that can add 75 - 125 more HP, but it was installed for the look, not for the added horsepower. It does look really mounted cool in the trunk area, and it is functional, but my friend has never used it, so he cannot verify how much additional power it would add to an already very quick car. The exhaust is all custom performance from Magnaflow. There are over $7,000.00 in motor receipts alone. And, yes, there are pictures of the entire driveline out of the car and the rebuild process. Believe it or not, this car is super fast, but is very street friendly, and it still gets around 30 miles to the gallon on the highway. Overall, it is about one step down from being a trailer queen. Great chance here for someone to win a show car Corvette at a fraction of what it cost to build it. Pat has well over twice the buy it now price in this car. His loss, your gain. NO TRADES NO TRADES NO TRADES Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person. Call me at 314-732-592five to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave I do not respond to text messages One more time, NO TRADES, Please do not ask. If you do not know, understand, and accept what "no trades" means, then you surely do not have a vehicle that I would be interested in. I do not respond to low ball offers, text messages, or take offers over the phone. If you want to make an offer, please do so through ebay email. Include your name and contact info. If I feel you are a serious buyer, I will contact you back. If you do not hear back from me, then my vehicle must be out of your price range. I do not give out my reserve price. Too many knuckleheads out there that like to play games with bidding just under the reserve amount with no intention of actually buying the vehicle. Makes it look like schill bidding is going on. If you have a feed back rating less that 100% or less than 10 total feedbacks, you might want to check with me before bidding. I will sometimes block or cancel bids if I get a bad feeling for the bidder. Non-paying winners are a real problem for sellers and it is hard to get seller fees refunded from Ebay in a timely manner, if at all. For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership. Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave 314-732-592five
