PLEASE only bid if you are actually in a position to purchase the vehicle, thanks! 1972 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Van This is a very solid rust free van in great running condition with great looks to match! The van has recently received a new and thorough paint job including the interior panels and the undercarriage, it is completely rust free. All original glass is present and in perfect condition, all exterior lights including tail lights and headlights are new. The front and rear bumpers are like new and freshly painted. New hubcaps have also been added. The interior has received new wood paneling and new wood floor panels, all interior cushions including both front seats have been reupholstered in matching brown leather and a new sound/heat shield has been installed in the rear storage area. All the curtains are also new. All the original camper features are installed including the sink and cooler, table and closet, the sink and cooler function properly. The original front door panels are installed. The pop up tent is brand new and works perfectly, the pop up can be lifted and lowered very easily, it is not attached to the roof. The original sleeping cot is included and it is also in perfect condition. The original front seat tarp is also included and is also in great shape. Mechanically not much has been done to the car, the motor has required little work. It was running great when purchased and still does, the motor provides good power, it starts right up with no hesitation and pulls strong in every gear, engine oil was recently changed and new valve cover gaskets were installed, new spark plugs and distributer points were also installed. The motor is all stock. The engine bay was cleaned up and sprayed with undercoating. The original 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and does so with no grinding or excessive sloppiness, it’s actually quite precise for having such a long linkage. An assortment of spare parts will be included this the car. These cars are getting harder and harder to find in this condition and this one is a great example that I wouldn't hesitate to get in and drive anywhere, its ready to go for that Sunday drive or that weekend camping trip. I will gladly hold the vehicle for a reasonable amount of time while said buyer completes all shipping/delivery arrangements the car is located in Miami, Florida (Doral). The car has a free and clear Florida title, the title and vehicle will not be released until the full payment has been received.
