Up for bid is a 1964 Chrysler 300 two door hardtop with 91k miles showing. Body and undercarriage have some rust as seen in pics. 383 2bbl V8 engine and pushbutton auto transmission. Runs and drives. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs well at speed but idles a little rough. Good battery & starter and good charging system. Starts easy with just a pumpt. TRANSMISSION: Performs well. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in fair shape - has some rust and body filler as seen in pics, mostly low on body. Previous dent repair above right rear wheel done poorly and coming undone. Paint: Paint is in fair shapes - drivers side is good, tops of hood and trunk slightly faded, and passenger side has that spot as seen in pics. Other: Undercarriage good - frame has some rust at rear bumper mount but all else good. Floors in seating areas is good. Has a rust hole in the trunk floor typical of these Mopar years - see the pics. Door jambs/bottoms have a little rust as seen in pics. Bumpers are nice without rust but theres some fading. Glass is all good. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is fair. Seats have some tears hidden with white duct tape, dash pad is warped and left rear armrest and window switch is missing. Drivers armrest is present but not installed. Carpets, headliner, and dash are good. ELECTRICAL STUFF: Exterior lights and horn work. Power windows work up front but rears do not work at all. Drivers window gear chatters - you have to help it up. Heat works, blower fan works properly. The AM radio does not work. Interior lights work. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out decently. Steering is a little loose but alignment is good, suspension is good. Brakes work well but rears make some noise. Tires have about 50% tread remaining all around on a matched set of whitewall radials. Solid, quiet exhaust with no leaks in the pipes, but drivers side exhaust manifold gasket has a leak. I have not driven this car far or long and dont know if Id trust it on a long trip. Short version terms: Small non-refundable deposit as listed (but fast) by Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashiers check. Will meet you or your transporter at my location by appointment after 6 pm weekdays or anytime weekends.
