With the 1.9L TDI engine being one of the most impressive little engines of all time when it comes to power, efficiency, and durability - this "ALH" generation of the TDI is by far the most desirable. Not only that, 2003 was the last model year for this engine in the U.S., and this car also has a 5-Speed Manual making it as bulletproof as they come. I have owned this car personally for the past 2 years. During that time I've put about 20k miles on it. It's never once left me stranded and it has always performed flawlessly. However, after spending almost a year looking for this car, I wanted to build something really unique and capitalize on the versatility that this car was already born with at the factory. This car has a 2" lift (done right with factory VW parts), slightly oversized Yokohama all-terrain tires, and a full tow bar setup from Roadmaster - but that's only the beginning! I've bought and sold many VW Diesels and TDI's, so when it came time to upgrade to this one, I knew exactly what I wanted with regard to options and pedigree. This car was bought new right here in Fort Worth, TX at Autobahn VW. The original owner traded it in to Fort Worth Audi for an Audi A3 TDI in November 2012 at 179k miles. It hasn't ever been in a single accident. All body panels are original and all paint is original. The Carfax is perfectly clean. The previous (original) owner had the timing belt and water pump replaced at 170k miles. I do still have the original title which shows the original owner purchased it on 12/20/2002 with 180 miles on the odometer. He used the car for commuting every day from Fort Worth to Dallas. I took delivery of the car from Fort Worth Audi just after they took it in on trade, and here is what I've done to it during the past 2 years (in no particular order): - Oil Changes every 3k miles (Castrol Full Synthetic from the VW dealer)-Fuel Filter Changes every 3k miles- New Boost Pressure Valve- New Intake Manifold Gasket- Cleaned Intake Manifold, EGR, and Turbocharger- New Mass Air Flow Sensor- Deleted Catalytic Converter- Extensive Professional Engine Tuning via the Vag-Com Computer System by a local TDI specialist (Easily gets 45+ MPG and has excellent power)- New Shifter Boot- New Center Armrest/Console- New Glow Plugs (All 4)- New Glow Plug Wiring Harness (Updated Style)- New Lower Control Arms with Bushings- New Power Door Lock Actuators (All 4)- New Turbo Oil Inlet- New Turbo Oil Drain- New Windshield- New Alignment (After every bit of suspension maintenance and upgrades)- New E-Code (European) Headlamps with Fog Lights- New Silverstar Ultra Headlamp Bulbs-New Euro Headlamp Switch- New Silverstar Ultra Fog Lamp Bulbs- New Auxillary Fan Switch- Coolant Flushed- Roadmaster "Tracker" Tow Bar and Base Plate Kit (Tow bar system is fully installed and functional; Tow bar itself is not pictured but is included)- Blue Ox Tail Light Wiring Kit (Included but not installed; To be used if you plan on towing the Jetta behind a truck or RV on a regular basis)- New Sway Bar Links with Bushings- New Rokblokz Mud Flaps-Curt Class 1 Receiver Hitch (Never Used)- Full "Panzer" Skid Plate and Side Panels from Diesel Geek- New Oil Dipstick Tube- New Cooling Fan- New Covercraft Custom-Fit Windshield Sunshade (Not pictured but is included)- New Complete A/C System- New Front Coil Springs from VW (made for a Jetta Wagon with VR6 engine and Auto transmission; This combined with 2 sets of front strut spacers from VW give the suspension lift in the front)- New Moog Heavy-Duty Rear Coil Springs- ALL New Suspension Bushings and Bolts (Done in conjunction with the suspension modifications; Control arm bushings upgraded to those from an Audi TT)- New Bilstein Shocks and Struts- New Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S Tires (205/70/15)- New Plastic Inner Fender Liners- New "Monster Mat" All-Weather Floor Mats from VW- New Sparco "Pista" 15 inch Wheels- Weathertech Trunk Mat- New Continental Battery As you can tell, nothing has been overlooked and no corners have been cut on this car. My asking price is only a fraction of what I have invested in it, and I don't think you'll find another one like it. It is incredibly functional and a blast to drive. It has the ground clearance of a Subaru and is very peppy, all while maintaining the 45+ MPG economy these cars are known for. It drives tight and rides very smooth. We've towed it to Colorado and back behind our motorhome so I can attest that it works great as a toad (tow'd, etc.) as well. It also comes in super handy if you need to go pick up a truck or SUV somewhere by yourself. As long as that truck or SUV has a receiver hitch or a 2" ball, you can hook this Jetta onto the back of that vehicle and drive off. I don't have to sell this car, so if it doesn't sell I'll be keeping it. I just don't drive it as much as I used to so I wanted to make it available. The interior is very clean. Everything looks great and the upholstery is all in excellent condition. No smells. Never smoked in. Everything works great with the exception of an inoperable right rear power window and a sticky left rear power door lock. The A/C is ice cold and the Heat is hot. Overall a very clean car. All original keys are included (2 flip-keys with keyless remotes and 1 standard key) The exterior is also in excellent condition. Texas car since new. No rust anywhere. The paint shines excellent. One very thin key scratch on the passenger side doors. No dents or dings that I'm aware of, although you mind find a couple tiny door dings or something along those lines. As you can see from the pictures, it looks excellent. I don't think you'll be disappointed at all with this car. It has served me extremely well and I know it was a great car for the original owner also. This car is ready to be driven anywhere you want to take it. It drives excellent.
