1962 LAND ROVER 109 – THE REAL DEAL Daily driver. Runs great and strong. Starts up every time. All mechanicals done by licensed Land Rover mechanic. Body stripped to bare aluminum. Interior DIY painted. I believe the body was put together before I bought it from a number of different trucks. Now that’s not noticeable. The best result of that is the totally unique four window desert. Great sound system. Runs and rides perfect. (Except for 4-wheel drive which doesn’t work, driver’s side door top (see pic) which is bent – hit a tree – but door and window works fine) All glass perfect. Extra parts – mirrors, door sill tops, other stuff included. Original manual, Restoration manual included. Mechanical work done: Replace parking brake shoe Front suspension – replaced swivel pin housings Steering. Rear axle replaced. Brakes and clutch bled. Fog lights work. Gas and old gauges work. Speedometer works. Fuel tank and lines cleaned. Replaced front spring and bushing Rebuilt front swivel pin housings. Floor mats included. Rear brake shoes and drums replaced and adjusted Rebuilt carb. Replaced tie rod ends. Reupholstered rear back seat. New seat bottoms front. New shocks and fan belt Newish exhaust pipe Replaced master cylinder CD/AM/FM installed new – with bitchin’ speakers. Great sound. Needs to be done: Right rear door not closing properly – presently chained closed. Rear door padlocked closed. The only mechanical not working is the four wheel drive. The rest perfect.
