YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1958 CHEVY BISCAYNE , I DRIVE THIS CAR WEEKLY AND IT ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP AND RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD HOWEVER IT IS A LITTLE ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES AND IS BEING SOLD AS A PROJECT CAR. IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS GOOD COMING DOWN THE ROAD BUT IS FAR FROM PERFECT. I WILL DESCRIBE IT AS BEST AS I CAN BUT IM SURE I WILL FORGET A FEW THINGS SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS AND FOR MORE PICS IF NEEDED. THIS CAR WAS REPAINTED AT SOME POINT IN TIME AND IS STILL SHINY BUT SHOWS AGE WITH OLDER BODYWORK COMING THRU , SCRATCHES , DINGS , RUST , AND CHIPS. THE INTERIOR LOOKS GOOD FOR THE MOST PART BUT COULD USE A LITTLE ATTENTION LIKE THE CARPET HAS SOME FLAWS AND IMPERFECTIONS AND ONE OF THE KICK PANELS NEEDS RECOVERED , ON THE REAR SILL THE VINYL IS COMING LOOSE AND ALSO ON THE FILLER PANELS BETWEEN DOORS , ALL 4 SILL PLATES ARE MISSING , ALL 4 WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN HOWEVER THE REARS ARE A LITTLE STIFF FROM LACK OF USE , BOTH VENT WINDOWS WORK GOOD , ALL 4 DOORS OPEN AND SHUT VERY SOLID BUT THE DOOR WEATHER STRIPPING HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS , ALL FLOORS FEEL SOLID BUT I WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THEY WERE AMATEURLY REPAIRED AS WELL AS PARTS OF THE TRUNK FLOOR , ALL LIGHTS (tail,brake,blinker,headlights,dome light) WORK HOWEVER SOMETIMES THE GAUGE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON WHEN I TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS , THE SPEEDO WORKS BUT IS OFF BECAUSE OF THE TRANNY UPGRADE IM NOT SURE IF THE ODOMETER IS WORKING IT READS 79999 BUT IM UNSURE OF THE ACTUAL MILAGE , THE GAS GAUGE WORKS FINE AND THE CAR HAS A GOOD HEATER ALSO THE VACUUM WIPERS WORK GOOD BUT ONE OF THE WIPER ARMS IS MISSING. I HAVE INSTALLED SEAT BELTS IN THE REAR AND WILL INCLUDE TWO NEW MATCHING ONES FOR THE FRONT. THE PREVIOUS OWNER INSTALLED A NEW GAS TANK , NEW DUAL EXHAUST WITH TURBO MUFFLERS AND NEW 215 X 70-15" TIRES. THIS CAR HAS NO MAJOR LEAKS AND THE OIL , ANTIFREEZE AND TRANNY FLUID ARE ALWAYS AT THE PROPER LEVEL WHEN CHECKED. I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THE ENGINE I WAS TOLD IT WAS BUILT TO BE RUN IN AN OLD STOCK CAR BUT WAS INSTALLED IN THIS 1958 INSTEAD IT DONT SMOKE AND STARTS RIGHT UP AND IS VERY RESPONSIVE AND HAS A SOMEWHAT CHOPPY IDLE SO I AM PRETTY SURE IT HAS AN AFTERMARKET CAM. THE INTAKE IS AN ALUMINUM EDELBROCK WITH A 1407 EDELBROCK 750CFM CARB. THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ARE CORVETTE STYLE RAMSHORN AND THE PULLEYS ARE BILLET ALUMINUM. THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR ARE LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD. THE 3-SPEED AUTO TRANS FEELS VERY STRONG AND HAS A VERY POSITIVE SHIFT AND WILL CHIRP THE TIRES GOING FROM 1ST TO SECOND IF YOUR ON THE GAS A LITTLE , THE SHIFTER IS A B&M. THE REAR END GEARS ARE ON THE LOW SIDE AND FEEL TO BE IN THE 3.25 - 3.73 RANGE. I DRIVE THIS CAR 3 OR 4 TIMES A WEEK TO TOWN AND BACK TO DO MY DAILY RUNNING WHEN WEATHER PERMITS IT IS ABOUT A 15 MILE ROUND TRIP I ALSO DRIVE IT TO THE OCCASIONAL CAR CRUISE WITH NO ISSUES BUT THERE ARE A FEW THING THAT DO NOT BOTHER ME BECAUSE IM USED TO THE CAR BUT A NEW OWNER WOULD WANT TO ADDRESS BEFORE DRIVING IT. THE THE BRAKES STOP GOOD BUT PULL TO THE RIGHT WHEN YOU FIRST PUSH THE PEDAL MOST LIKELY NEEDS A WHEEL CYLINDER ADJUSTMENT BUT IM NOT SURE , ONE OF THE EXHAUST HANGERS HAS STRECHED ALLOWING THE PIPE TO SOMETIMES VIBRATE AGAINST THE FRAME ITS AN EASY FIX I JUST HAVE NOT HAD THE TIME TO DEAL WITH IT , ONE OF THE HOOD HINGES WILL GET STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION IF THE HOOD IS OPENED TO FAR AND HAS TO BE PRIED BACK WITH A BIG SCREWDRIVER ITS A MAJOR PAIN IN THE BUTT. ONE OF THE STOPS IS WORN ON THE PASS SIDE HINDGE , FOR SOME REASON THE TRUNK KEY DONT WORK IN THE DOORS AND I DO NOT HAVE A DOOR KEY ALSO THE IGNITION SWITCH TURNS WITHOUT A KEY HOWEVER A WHOLE SET OF DOOR AND TRUNK LOCKS AND IGNITION WITH MATCHING KEYS CAN BE PURCHASED ON EBAY FOR AROUND $70.00.
