I am wanting to sell my very rare 2003 MazdaSpeed Protege. this is the first production vehicle released my mazdaspeed and 1 of only 600 made in this color. Spicy Orange Mica finish is much sought after for the true car enthusiast and the gold flake adds a pop that cant be beat. the remainder of the vehicles released in 2003 were all in a black mica finish. this car is a factory turbocharged FS-DE 2.0L engine with a Garrett T25 turbo and Callaway manifold. it came with sport tuned suspension ( which has been tastefully replaced with Tien SS full coilovers ) and a racing beat exhaust ( replaced with a turbo-back Apex-I N1 exhaust ) and also came from the factory with front ( upper and lower ) and rear lower anti-sway bars from racing beat. to finish if off Mazda went to the aftermarket rhelm for a set of 17X7 5 spoke RacingHart rims. for the entertainment portion it comes with a 450watt 7 speaker Kenwood sound system including a rear mounted 8" subwoofer in custom enclosure. I have upgraded the headunit to a Pioneer DEH-P5700 7" touchscreen DVD unit. as far as drivetrain it is close ratio 5 speed manual with factory LSD and heavy duty clutch and pressure plate. I have done some engine upgrades including Spool front mount intercooler and hard pipes, Ron Davis full size aluminum radiator and a stand overflow canister. recently replaced ATP wastegate with new 7psi actuator. Also has a set of Sumitomo 215/45/17 LS-W rated tires with like new tread. for this vehicle being 11 years old and having 92,808 miles it is in pristine condition. I am asking $4750 OBO but no lowballing. now for the bad stuff. It will start and run/drive but I know there is an issue. It could be a simple as a vacuum leak or ignition/fuel but either way it will start and run with no problem, and it will drive as well but if you drive it around for a bit it will stall out. It will refire and you can continue to drive it but these cars have a known issue with stalling when you push in the clutch while slowing down or coming to a stop, but its just now that I am having this issue. I am sure it is something very silly and probably easy but I have had the car for 5 years now and am the second owner so its time for someone else to own a piece of Mazda history. My wife and I are going to be moving to the Dallas area the first week in December and I am wanting this car to be gone by then so if you give me a reasonable offer this might be your new car!!! I also have a lot of aftermarket and performance parts that fit this car, and if the price is right I might include all of them: parts list includes: Speedcircuit.net Protégé Turbo Kit - upgraded to a Garrett T3/04e 50 trim A/R .63 big boy turbo Tial MS-V EWG with 4psi spring SLS Performance stainless catless 3" midpipe ProSport premium full electric gauge package ( oil pressure and boost ) both with peak/warn and AFR with heater Bosch O2 sensor Deatschwerks 440cc drop in injectors ( brand new ) Split Second SSAFC air/fuel controller with tuning software Sparco Monza 5 point harness racing seats Wings West 3D carbon fiber hood that's about $7000 worth of parts some of which you can no longer buy new. as mentioned earlier this would be a local pickup only and would highly recommend a trailer take to reduce the risk of doing something to the engine!!! the last 3 pictures in the list are what the car looked like with all the go fast goodie installed. as mentioned above if the price is right you will get them all with the car!!! that's like buying a bunch of performance and aftermarket parts and getting the car for free...
