It is a super clean example and is very solid showing its pampered life here in central North Carolina. It appears the car has been repainted the original pastel blue (color code 922) at some point in the past. The paint job ​looks wonderful, no expense was spared. This W123 drives like a dream and is ready for a new home! ​ The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well maintained. The car has been completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a rock as any well cared for garaged car should be, and appears to have never been in any accidents. The car is riding on original steel Mercedes wheels and color matched hubcaps. The set of Bridgestone Insignia SE 200 all season tires are in good condition with acceptable tread remaining. ​All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in good shape. There is some minor surface rust along the interior bottomside, where the trunk closes. See images. The interior is in excellent condition. The upholstery ​and carpet are in very good condition and look very nice. All dials and controls function as they should. All lights, gauges, and​ switche​s are operational. The original first aid kit and Mercedes Benz tool kit are included. ​The original Becker Europa AM/FM stereo functions properly. ​ There is one minor crack in the dash on the right side, below the heat & air outlet. All manual door locks and windows work. There is one very small slit on the side of the rear seat on the passenger side.​ Additionally, there is one thin slit in the gear shift sleeve. These areas are photographed in detail. Please see each image closely. Mechanically, this W123 runs wonderfully. The car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. The suspension is very tight and feels solid. It is properly aligned, allowing a smooth handling car. Once warm, the engine idles smoothly. The manual transmission shifts flawlessly through each of the four gears. The A/C is ICE cold and the heat is fully operational.. It maintains an idle oil pressure of approximately 20 lbs./sq. inch and 45 lbs./sq. inch travelling at typical highway speeds according to the gauge. ​ This W123 is hands down the most pristine and intact classic vehicle I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. It just pas​sed​ a North Carolina Inspection on November 14, 2014. This is an excellent 240D at an affordable price.
