2002 MERCEDES CLK430A CONVERTIBLE

THE POWERFUL 4.3L-V8 ENGINE RUNS GOOD AND HAS GOOD ACCELERATION. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFTS THROUGH THE GEARS FINE WHEN DRIVING, BUT IT APPEARS THE SHIFTER ITSELF IS BAD BECAUSE IT IS HARD TO MOVE IN AND OUT OF PARK AND SOMETIMES GETS STUCK. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND THEN BACK ON TO MOVE THE SHIFTER INTO PARK.
THE EXTERIOR OF OUR CLK430 LOOKS GOOD OVERALL.
THE PAINT HAS A NICE GLOSSY FINISH. THE PAINT ONLY HAS A FEW MINOR CHIPS/SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE (MAINLY ON THE REAR BUMPER). THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND FREE OF RUST. OVERALL, THE CAR'S PAINT AND BODY LOOK GOOD! THE WINDOWS ARE COVERED IN DARK AFTERMARKET TINT.
THE PROLINE 18" ALLOY WHEELS ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND THE TIRES ABOUT 40-50% OF THEIR TREAD REMAINING.

OUR CLK430 JUST PASSED A VA STATE INSPECTION (EXPIRES 10/15)!
ALL THE ELECTRONIC FEATURES AND OPTIONS WORK PROPERLY EXCEPT FOR THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: THE CLIMATE CONTROL HEAD UNIT TURNS ON AND THE DISPLAY WORKS, BUT NONE OF THE BUTTONS OPERATE THE CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM (I.E. BLOWER, DEFROST, ETC). THIS IS USUALLY A BAD HEAD UNIT. SOME OF THE DASH CLUSTER'S PIXELS ARE NOT LIGHTING UP MAKING IT HARD TO READ. THE POWER WINDOW MOTORS AND REGULATORS ARE GOOD, BUT THE SWITCHES APPEAR TO BE BAD BECAUSE THE WINDOWS WILL NOT MOVE USING THE SWITCHES. THE WINDOWS DO MOVE DOWN AND UP IF YOU TRY TO LOWER THE CONVERTIBLE TOP. LASTLY, THE CONVERTIBLE TOP DOES NOT WORK AND WILL NOT MOVE. WE HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED THE CAUSE OF THE TOP'S MALFUNCTION.
THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT IS ON. WE HAVE NOT DIAGNOSED THE REASON WHY.

THE INTERIOR OF THIS MERCEDES LOOKS OK. THE COSMETIC ISSUES ARE: THE DRIVER'S SEAT IS COMING APART AT THE SEAM ON THE LEFT-SIDE OF THE BACK SUPPORT, THE WOOD TRIM IS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES, THE STEERING WHEEL DYE IS WORN, A FEW OF THE VENTS ARE BROKEN, THE DRIVER'S DOOR PANEL SPEAKER COVER IS BROKEN, AND THE INTERIOR NEEDS A GOOD DETAILING.
THE CARFAX SHOWS AN ACCIDENT IN FEBRUARY OF 2009 WITH DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. THE CAR WAS STILL DRIVEABLE, BUT WAS REPAIRED TO LIKE NEW CONDITION AT THAT TIME AND HAS SAFELY BEEN DRIVEN SINCE THEN.

The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
WINNING BIDDERS MUST CONTACT US WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTIONS END TO PAY THE REQUIRED DEPOSIT. Arrangements for final payment, pick-up and/or shipping can be made at that time too. A $500.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit via PayPal, certified check, cash in person, bank wire transfer, or credit card IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE AUCTION'S END. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction end and can be paid via cash in person, credit card, certified check, bank wire transfer, or 3rd party financing. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles more than 7 years old or with more than 100K miles. Make sure, if you plan on using financing, that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
We WILL accept trades on our auction vehicles. However, you must contact us well in advance of the auctions end and provide us with all the necessary information to make a preliminary valuation of your trade and make you a trade offer subject to verification of your vehicle's condition in person.

You can locate shippers by doing a web search for `auto shippers`. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after the vehicle leaves our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is released to the shipping company.
