Vehicle Detail
1991 Mazda RX7 Project Car seeking good home Purchased in 1999 as a fair weather vehicle it was driven only on sunny days until about 2006 at which point I removed the engine for use in my daily driver. That engine died in 2008 and has been sitting on a pallet in the garage awaiting a rebuild ever since. The body has been sitting nearly 10 years at this point, half of that time garaged, on pavement under cover since. The paint (original) is fading a bit but otherwise the body is in very good condition overall, has a couple minor dents/dings & a few small rust spots cropping up that should be addressed (and the spoiler needs a re-spray, it has not weathered well) but otherwise it would be hard to find one in better condition (especially in the northeast). The interior is in very good condition, needs very little. As stated this is a project car, a listing of what this auction includes is as follows: 1991 Mazda RX7 Coupe 1.3L N/A (Red w/Black interior) w/67K Original Miles and the following factory options: 5-Speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power steering, cruise control, power windows & locks, power sunroof and factory CD player... Original engine w/about 90k mi on it (rebuildable) and a spare engine from a 89.5 GTU Original Transmission (w/67k mi) and a spare (both worked fine when pulled but have been sitting) Pioneer replacement speakers (new - not installed) Several belts in good (useable) condition OEM RX7 Workshop Manual Lots of spare hardware (from my deceased 89 GTU) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Getting this vehicle driveable again will require (minimum): Engine Rebuild (has rotor lock) Suspension work (shocks minimum) Brakes (rotors & pads for sure, calipers may be ok) Tires, Battery & Wiper Blades Fuel tank flush (drain at least) As previously stated: the transmissions were working when pulled but may need a once over... That covers most of it, I hate to sell it but I have not been able to give it the TLC it needs and won't for the forseeable future, so rather than let it sit and rot and/or deal with trying to move it all again (for the 3rd time) it's time to find someone who can give it a good home... Finally: buyer is responsible for pickup/transportation of all items Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
