Vehicle Detail

1992 Ford Taurus SHO. 3.0 Liter DOHC V-6 w/ Manual 5 speed transmission. I'm listing this car on behalf of my girlfriend. My girlfriend became the second owner in 1997 when it had 33,000 miles. She has always changed the oil every 3,000 mi. using only Motorcraft brand oil filters. Two years ago the right rear strut rod rusted out and came apart while driving in the grocery store parking lot. She had it towed home but decided it was time to buy a new car and left it sit in the driveway. A month later I replaced the strut rod and bushings but since then, it has a clunk in rear when going over bumps and it pulls hard to the right (needs alignment). Every couple of months I drive it around the neighborhood to keep it loose. Over the last 60,000 mi I’ve replaced the following: Timing belt ( w/ tensioner), water pump and thermostat, rear lower control arms ( SHObros fully adjustable arms), valve cover and intake manifold gaskets, ignition module, crank position sensor, climate control panel (updated hard button model), starter, and alternator. It has a black interior. The driver seat bolster is a little worn but the rest of the interior is in very good condition. The seats have leather sides w/ cloth centers . It still reliably starts and runs great and would probably make a good parts car. This is everything else I know to be wrong with it: tires are bald, cruise control is inop, a/c is inop ( looks like o-ring is leaking), oil leak coming from cam position sensor area, there's a coolant smell inside the car (likely the heater core), occasionally the check eng light comes on with a intake air temp sensor code, left rear brake caliper dragging, rotors are heavily rusted from sitting so it doesn’t brake great but still stops, and rust has eaten through the body at the rear quarters, floor boards, lower doors and other places as well (see pics). This car reliably starts and drives well with plenty of power despite having 207,000 miles. The engine is spotless inside and the transmission shifts smooth. The clutch engagement is still very good. The interior is in very good condition. I feel this car would make a great parts vehicle to anyone looking for the drivetrain, interior or SHO specific body panels. The vehicle pulls hard to the right and brake performance isn't that good (heavily rusted brake rotors, LR caliper drags, etc.) Note: This vehicle, in my opinion, is NOT safe to drive on public streets in its current condition. I highly recommend the new owner TOW it to its new home. Please understand this vehicle is sold AS-IS with no warranties expressed or implied. Feel free to ask any questions via Ebay messenger and I will respond as soon as possible.
