Vehicle Detail
Here it is. A like new 25 year old Spider Veloce in Stellar Blue Metallic. This car was originally purchased in Addison, TX in June of 1989. The original owner moved to Alaska in 2001, and the car followed. It had 1,000 miles or so put on it during those 3 years, she then moved back to the southwest, Arizona. It stayed there until 2007 when it moved to Ohio, bought by another older female owner. Only 700 miles or so were put on the car during that time, lack of power steering being the reason. This car is ready to be driven. It is a completly rust and corrosion free southwest car. Completely original from head to toe, including the body, paint, and interior. The car has never had any accidents, or had any paint work of any kind. I have been over it from bottom to top, several times, while on a lift. None of the underside parts, nuts, or bolts, has ANY type of corrosion. I have completely detailed the car from literally the ground up. You can see the attention to detail in the pics. The car leaks no fluids, A/C is fully operational, as is every other function and feature on the car, including the clock and factory radio. In fact, the only parts that have been changed outside of the factory are both front rotors and calipers and the brake master cylinder. I installed a new battery and tires as well, both due to age. The spare has an untouched Pirelli on it. I changed the rear diff and transmission fluid with proper spec gear oil, as well as the engine oil with 15w50. The car even has the original Silver Line spark plugs! Check the pic of the underside of the hood. You"ll see the factory grease pen inspection numbers. No crunchy or corroded parts under hood. All plastic clips in tact. Factory tool kit right where it should be. It really is a sight to behold. No missing parts or molestations. This Spider starts and runs perfectly. No funny sounds or misbehaving. The gearbox has absolutely no grinding, save for reverse unless you touch fourth first, you know the deal. The trans mount is soft, and should be replaced. Absolutely not a difficult job or an expensive one, but the part is on backorder until the first week of December, otherwise it would be done. All the steering gear is beautiful, as is the rest of the original suspension. The car really does run and drive as if we were living in the early '90's. It was shipped from the factory with the brown carpet; unfortunately it was prone to fading/changing colors. This car is no exception. The carpet itself is in like new shape; but anywhere the sun hit is faded. Looks fine, but you can see what color it should be when you open the trunk. Other than that, the interior is in fantastic, remarkable shape. It came from the dealer with the MOMO leather wrapped wheel, dated December of '88, as well as the Alfa embroidered brown floor mats. NO wear marks or funky spots on the seats, and they are just as supportive as a 30k car should be. In other words, they are not beat down, and the leather is soft and supple. NO cracks in the dash ANYWHERE. NEVER smoked in. The lens cluster is clear and defect free, as is all the factory glass. Power windows are quick and drag free. All stainless trim is bright and untouched. Both seat belts are not frayed and operate as they should. Door panels are in perfect shape. All factory screw and trim covers are in place. Of course, all switch gear and electricals operate as they should. No stories, no suprises. All outside trim is unfaded and in like new shape, with no bumps or bruises. The factory wheels are in near perfect shape, no curb rash or faded spots whatsoever. All rubber seals and weather stripping are still soft and supple, no cracked, falling apart pieces. The paint is in exceptional shape, as the pics will attest. there are a few small stone chips on the nose, as to be expected. The car is completely ding free, save for one on the front passenger side fender. This can easily be removed by a Dent Wizard type place. I've seen what they can do, and this one is child's play for them. I can send a detailed close up pic if need be. As you can see, the wheel wells and undercarraige are beautiful. No mis-jacks on the underside or bottoming out. The exhaust is completely original, with no rusty spots or leaks. The top is original as well, which may or may not be a good thing. It is in fine shape for a 25 year old piece of cloth; save for a small split in the upper right hand corner. If I was to keep the car, I would absolutely not replace it, I would patch the split. For me, the car would generally only be out with the top down and the factory top boot in place, which is included with the car as well. The boot is in excellent shape. All factory manuals, books, and literature are present also. The car has a clean and clear open Ohio title. The reserve is set low for a car in this shape, especially considering what it would cost to bring one up to this level. Finding one to start with that is COMPLETELY rust/corrosion free is another story. If you'd like to rewind time, and jump back into a like new, straight-off-the-lot Spider, then heres you're car. If there are any questions at all, feel free to call or text me. I can send additional pics of anything needed. I have tons of underside, suspension, interior, and underhood shots. Unfortunately I can only post 24 pics here. Thanks for looking. 859-630-6062
