I PICKED UP THIS AVALANCHE A FEW MONTHS AGO AS A TOTAL LOSS FROM PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER THE INSURED DROVE THROUGH A WATER COVER ROAD. THE CAR 100% RAN & DROVE WHEN I PURCHASED IT, JUST HAD DAMP CARPETS. EVERYTHING IN THE AVALANCHE FUNCTIONS 100%. THE INSURANCE COMPANY DIDNT WANT THE LIABILITY OF THE REPAIR, SO THEY DECLARED IT A TOTAL LOSS AND SENT IT TO THE AUCTION. NO WEIRD LIGHTS ON THE DASH, NO STORIES, EVERYTHING WORKS AS DESIGNED AND A PERFECT CHANCE TO SAVE THOUSANDS!!! I HAVE PERSONALLY DRIVEN THIS AVALANCHE CLOSE TO 1000 MILES SINCE IT CAME OUT OF DETAIL WITH ZERO ISSUES OR CONCERNS. I EVEN INCLUDED THE ORIGINAL PICS FROM THE AUCTION SO YOU CAN SEE THIS CAR WAS NOT HURT- HOW MANY SELLERS/REBUILDERS DO YOU KNOW THAT WILL DO THAT!!! THE EXTERIOR OF THIS AVALANCHE IS IN GREAT CONDITION. ALL THE BODY LINES MATCH UP PERFECTLY. THE BODY IS FREE FROM ANY COLLISION OR COSMETIC DAMAGE AND DOOR DINGS... NOT A SINGLE ONE! THE PAINT HAS BEEN VERIFIED WITH A DIGITAL THICKNESS METER TO BE 100% ORIGINAL. IT HAS A VERY DEEP LUSTER AND NOTHING SHORT OF GREAT WITH NEXT TO NO FLAWS. THE BODY AS WELL AS THE PAINT IS FREE FROM MAJOR SCRATCHES AND THE ONE OR TWO ROCK CHIPS THAT ARE PRESENT (SEE PICS) HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY TOUCHED UP AND BUFFED DOWN. THE TIRES ON THE AVALANCHE MATCH AND APPEAR TO CLOSE TO BRAND NEW. THEY ARE WEARING EVENLY AND SMOOTHLY AND HAVE NO UNUSUAL ROAD NOISE. THE ORIGINAL WINDSHIELD IS IN PERFECT CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS OR ROCK CHIPS THAT HAVE BEEN FILLED IN. THE INTERIOR IS JUST AS NICE AS THE EXTERIOR. AS STATED ABOVE, WHEN I BOUGHT IT, THE CARPET WAS THE SLIGHTEST BIT DAMP AFTER THE INSURED DROVE THROUGH A WATER COVERED ROAD. THE ENTIRE INTERIOR WAS REMOVED, HOT WASHED, SHAMPOOED, WATER EXTRACTED AND HEAT DRIED TO ENSURE NO WATER WAS LEFT IN THE CARPET. THIS IS THE ONLY & RIGHT WAY TO FIX A LOW WATER LOSS LIKE THIS. THE SEATS WERE NOT AFFECTED IN THIS AT ALL. THE ENTIRE METAL FLOOR WAS SCRUBBED CLEAN AS WELL AND WHAT FEW CONNECTIONS COULD HAVE POSSIBLY BEEN AFFECTED WERE TREATED. AGAIN- NO LIGHTS OR WARNING ARE PRESENT ON THIS CAR INDICATING A PROBLEM. THIS IS THE Z66 PKG THAT GM OFFERS AND HAS ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES YOU WOULD EXPECT. THE LEATHER INTERIOR LOOKS NOTHING SHORT OF GREAT. THERE ARE NO RIPS OR TEARS, NO STAINS IN THE CARPETS, NO FRENCH FRIES UNDER THE SEATS AND NO FUNKY ODORS OF ANY KIND. THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS A NON-SMOKER AND THERE ARE NO BURNS IN ANYTHING ANYWHERE! ALL THE ELECTRONICS AND POWER FEATURES WORK PERFECTLY. THE A/C IS ICE COLD AND THE HEATER IS TOASTY WARM. THE STEREO SYSTEM SOUNDS CRISP AND CLEAN AND LETS YOU LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE SONG AS LOUD AS YOU WANT! MECHANICALLY THIS AVALANCHE IS PERFECT. AS I MENTIONED ABOVE- I PERSONALLY HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR SINCE IT CAME OUT OF DETAIL. ALL MECHANICAL ASPECTS HAVE BEEN INSPECTED AND RECEIVED NOTHING SHORT OF OF TWO THUMBS UP! ALL FLUIDS HAVE BEEN CHECKED AN TOPPED OFF AS NEEDED. THE TRANSMISSION DIDNT HAVE ANY WATER IN IT, BUT AS A PRECAUTION WE HAD IT FLUSHED. BEING RIGHT ON THE CUSP OF NEEDING A TUNE-UP DUE TO MILEAGE, THIS AVALANCHE HAD A FULL TUNE-UP INCLUDING NEW INTAKE GASKET, NEW GM KNOCK SENSORS, NEW PLUGS AND AN OIL CHANGE. THERE IS NO LEAKS OR DRIPS ANYWHERE AND THE BOTTOMSIDE LOOKS LIKE NEW! THIS AVALANCHE DRIVES JUST LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO. IT HAS A VERY TIGHT FEEL AND HAS NO WEIRD VIBRATIONS, SHAKES OR RATTLES OF ANY KIND. IT TRACKS DOWN THE ROAD STRAIGHT LIKE IT SHOULD AND IS READY FOR THE DRIVE HOME! THE ENGINE STARTS WITH EASE IN THE MORNINGS AND RUNS PERFECT. THE ENGINE LEAPS AT THROTTLE AND THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS JUST LIKE IT SHOULD.
