Vehicle Detail
Alfa Romeo archive states that the car was built Nov. 22, 1962, and sold to Hoffman Motors Jan. 7, 1963. Originally red (AR 505) with a black interior. Chassis #: AR374563, Engine #: 1315-012684 Owned the car since 2003. Previous owner purchased from Fantasy Junction in 1999. Mileage is unknown, but notes from Fantasy Junction say the car was rebuilt in 1988 at 77,800 miles. The car has only been driven sparingly in the last 11 years. During my ownership, I have replaced flexible brake lines, rebuilt starter, had White Post rebuild master cylinder, replaced sway bar bushings, replaced voltage regulator and distributor cap and rotor, replaced brake seals and turned drums, replaced gauge faces. The car runs and drives beautifully. There is very little rust, the floorpans and battery area in the trunk were redone sometime along the way. The motor does not burn oil, but it does leak a bit. The 1300 has stock intake valves and valve springs, 105 sodium exhaust valves, a 1600 clutch, 1750 cams and a Weber 36 DCD. The car has the rare 3 shoe brakes, which can be tough to keep adjusted, but they look fantastic and stop surprisingly well. I assume the Giulia steering wheel is due to the car being a late '62. The jack isn't pictured, but is included. The top has faded in the Florida sun and the speedometer stopped working a few years ago. Inspections are welcome and I am happy to provide additional pictures or video or talk about the car, just email me and we'll set it up
