As Ford celebrated 75 years of building cars in 1978 they produced a very special series of Lincoln Continental Mark Vs. Production was limited to 5,159 cars in two colors, Diamond Blue or Jubilee Gold. There were 2,602 produced in Diamond Blue with only 1511 with moonroof. Probably even fewer survivors today. This is a rare 1978 Lincoln Blue Diamond Jubilee Mark V. It is fully loaded including operating moonroof and CB radio. Very few made in this combination and probably fewer still out there. Owner was ill for years and unable to drive so this car and others were kept in enclosed storage. They seem to have been maintained while in storage because all had new tires put on not too long before being removed. New fuel tank was installed. Car cranks and runs very good. Was driven a few miles and transmission shifts fine. Power windows work including power vents and glass sunroof. Will need a new lock installed in trunk due to break in while in storage. Paint looks good from distance but needs a repaint and new vinyl roof to be perfect. Interior is near flawless and beautiful. Diamond Jubilee was first Continental to have a console. Comes with the optional CB radio. The original umbrella and tool kit are missing but can be found elsewhere on ebay. A second radio was added in the passenger dash panel area and should be replaced with the original dash trim. NO rust. Only found an area about size of 50 cent piece where paint chipped on lower rear driver's quarter panel, surface rust only. There are a few very small bubbles in one area near trim.
