This one was not in the barn but near it! Here we have a nicely optioned 1968 Pontiac GTO that was ordered in the desirable alpine blue color with a black vinyl top.The options include PS,PB,PW,Power drivers seat,PButton AM radio with rear speaker switch,remote mirror,clock,tissue dispenser,tinted glass,D&P vanity mirrors,F&R Floor mats,etc. This car has been sitting neglected for many many years.The good news is that its a real GTO that is 99% complete.The bad news is almost every exterior body panel needs some rust repair or replacement.Luckily the vinyly top was torn off years ago and the roof looks good.After looking the car over I have found that the original 400-4brl motor has been replaced with a 1966 389-4brl that is currently stuck and does not turn over.The original # matching Turbo 400 transmission with the Hurst His/Hers Dual Gate shifter is still there.The frame on the car is solid.The floors have some typical rust mainly on the passenger side(pictured).The trunk pan has some rust holes.This car is rough but restorable and would be well worth it when finished..It needs an extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration or it could be an excellent donor car if you need one.I have PHS paperwork documenting the options and GTO status.I also have a clear NJ title.
