We found this Vespa 400 and stored in a shed for over 20 years. It shows 4300 miles and the body seems to represent the mileage. There is no rot on this car top to bottom that we can see. All the glass is in excellent condition. We have removed the floor mats to show how great condition the floors are. Car rolls easily on the original rims, tires and hub caps. Unused factory spare tire, jack and wrench are stored in the near mint spare tire well. The car is mostly complete, missing the vin plate, a couple of side molding strips, mirrors, visors and the canvas folding top. Vin numbers stamped into the chassis are the same as the engine number. Owner said he drove it into the shed and parked it. The motor is now stuck, but what can it be with a two-stroke, probably just stuck rings. We poured some oil down the cylinders but did not try to force it to turn. The brake master cylinder is frozen, so we did not try to use the brakes. The shifter moves freely into all gears. The roof has some small dents above the windshield. Canvas top supports have been braised in, easily removed. Drivers door hinges have been repaired. Overall a rock solid complete car for restoration or replace the tires, repair the brakes, get it running and drive it..
