Vehicle Detail

Brand new wheelchair vans are extremely expensive - this is your chance to obtain a gently used one at a greatly reduced price. The exact same year and model van, with similar mileage, has been found on Mobility Van web sites, all cleaned up and polished, for $25,000. If you don't mind an exterior that is not in pristine condition, then this van will be a great deal for you. This vehicle was purchased brand new, with the Braun Entervan system, for over $42,000, by my brother-in-laws family in 2006. Ownership was transferred to my family in 2009 and it was used to transport my mother. First it was in my sisters name, then my brothers - which is why 3 owners are listed in the history. There are only 43,206 actual miles on it. The vehicle has been in southern Kentucky the entire time, until it was used to transport some furniture to northern New York in September. Therefore it has never been exposed to snow or winter road conditions and salt. It's been checked over by several mechanics and the engine and underbody are in excellent shape. As noted, the exterior has the normal dings and scratches that vehicles 8 years old often have. The interior is in great shape except for some stains in the carpeting. All power doors, heated, power leather seats, 6 CD player, power-steering, cruise. A very nice vehicle. There are no middle seats, but folding/removable seats in the back. The 2 power front seats are also removable. The Braun Entervan system is an automatic ramp that lowers and unfolds when the passenger side back door is opened. The vehicle can also be set to kneel, to lower the angle of the ramp. There are adjustable wheelchair tie down devices on the floor both in the back and the front. Seating for 4 plus space for 1, possibly 2 wheelchairs. We removed the passenger front seat and put the wheelchair there when we drove our mother to her doctors appointments, etc., but the seat has been put back in place. I'd like to see this van go to a family that really has a need for it - to give mobility to someone who's life has been limited by disability or injury. Or if you want to buy it, replace the carpeting and repaint the exterior - you could resell it for a lot more money! Local pick-up only. However - could be negotiable.
