Vehicle Detail

Back up for sale due to non-paying bidder. Up for sale is a 1977 Chevrolet Blazer (full size). Selling this for my in-laws. They are the second owner, and have been the same owner since 1981. The vehicle was stored in the late 1990s and brought back onto the street for road use from 2008-2011. It has been stored since 2011 and needs a full restoration to be street legal or road worthy. The good: Frame is pretty solid with no major rust spots (wear and tear over 35+ years). The 350ci small block is the 2nd motor, and has about 55k miles. The vehicle was recently started and ran strong. The TH350 automatic transmission shifts into gear and vehicle was driven a short distance. The hard top is original and has NEVER been removed. The Blazer has a fiberglass "Hickey" brand hood (the strong one) with full under frame and hood pin kit. The headlights were converted to H4 several years ago and accept replacement bulbs from the back. Current bulbs are 55w/100w. The Blazer currently sits on alloy wheels and 33x12.5" tires are installed (tires need replacing). Rough Country shocks are installed and were in decent condition at the time of storage. The Blazer is currently registered in non-operational status in CA. The interior consists of red cloth front bucket seats and the rear seat is a vinyl bench. The floor is carpeted with older rubber floor mats in the front. There is an AM/FM cassette radio installed in the factory location and the four speakers worked at the time it was stored. The Blazer has factory Air Conditioning which needs a recharge. Now for the bad: There is rust showing through in wheel wells, behind driver doors, and behind rear bumper. There is paint missing in various spots along the passenger side (see the photos in this ad). The paint is oxidized and faded completely on roof in some sections. The transmission has small leak but I do not know whether it is a front seal or pan seal as it has been sitting for some time. The interior needs redone. The front seat covers are torn and the original carpet is worn through in several places. This Blazer was used as a chase vehicle during the 1980s for several off-road races including the Baja 1000. It was well cared for and maintained until its storage in 2011 when gas prices began to rise. The Blazer must be TRAILERED from the location, as it is not road worthy nor registered for highway use. The Blazer comes with our surplus of new and used Blazer parts. This includes extra trim pieces, exhaust manifolds, a car cover, and much more. The items are stored in the back of the Blazer. See the photos for more details. The Blazer must be picked up from San Jacinto, California 92583 within seven (7) days of auction end. If unable to pick up the vehicle in please do not bid. A $500.00 deposit via PayPal is required within 48 hours of auction ent. Payments via Cashier Check, Money Order or Cash for the difference shall be made within 7 days of auction end at the time of pickup. Blazer is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.
