Here is the one you have been waiting for, an absolutely gorgeous 1968 Pontiac GTO Tribute Convertible, I don’t use this word often but this car is mint. Car underwent a full nut and bolt rotisserie restoration 2 years ago, everything was replaced or rebuilt at that time and car has only been driven 4000 miles since this high dollar restoration. The paint and body is absolutely flawless and mesmerizing to look into, perfect fit and gaps on all panels, no rust, no bondo, no waves, no orange peel, just a showroom shine. Interior was all replaced at the time of restoration with all new seats front and rear with all new foam and trim, new door panels, new carpet, new windshield, all the gauges were rebuilt and work as they should. All the wiring is new and everything works as it should including the vacuum headlight doors that pop right open and shut with no problems. The horn works when it wants to is the only problem I am aware of with the car. Power windows were all rebuilt and work great. Power top was just replaced a year ago with correct glass window and goes up and down perfectly. All of the weatherstrippings were replaced and still look new. The dash pad and inside trim were all replaced and still look like new. An aftermarket radio was added so you can listen to the tunes while cruising with the top down. Powering this beauty is a rebuilt period correct 400 CI all built up with Ram Air III heads, Edelbrock Intake, Edelbrock 1411 Carburetor, engine runs strong and pushes out about 370 horse which is ran through a rebuilt hydramatic 3-speed with all heavy duty internals and shift kit hooked to a his and hers hurst shifter. Rear is the original with all new bearings and seals, Richmond 3:42 gears for highway cruising, eaton posi-trac unit, and heavy duty axles. The entire fuel system was replaced from the gas tank to the lines. Flomasters were added with 2.5” aluminized exhaust to give it that muscle car rumble and nice chrome tips added. Entire cooling system was replaced during the restoration and it never goes above 180 even in rush hour traffic with the air on. This gem has all the options Vintage A/C that blows ice cold, power disc brakes that stop on a dime, power steering, and as mentioned before power windows and power top. All of the suspension was replaced or rebuilt including all new bushings, shocks, tie rods, springs, steering box, etc. Brakes were all replaced and as mentioned before they stop on a dime. Trunk and floorboards are gorgeous and appear to be all original with correct spare and jack equipment, even the package tray area is rust free which is almost impossible to find on these convertibles, all the metal is original with the exception of the lower rear quarters which were replaced with correct NOS metal and line up perfect. The rally wheels were replaced during the restoration and brand new BF Goodrich tires were just installed. All the chrome, stainless, and emblems on the body were replaced and look like new.
