Vehicle Detail

Presented here is a beautiful 1974 Javelin AMX with all the GO FAST goodies including a freshly built 401 CID motor, 727 automatic and 3:54 posi rear end. This was an original 360 4BBL car with a blocked off "fake" cowl induction hood and front front valance panel, typical of most 74 AMX's car was always garaged kept and adult owned. Hood was changed to 1973 induction style before painting. The hood is perfect. needs insulation. Car has never been parked outside. Body is perfect with no signs ever of any rust oxidation or rot. Car has never been in a collision and has not suffer any dings or dents. This car has 86,809 miles on it and I believe it to original mileage. This is a rust free car that has been restored over the past few years. Was painted several years ago by the past owner, and was originally a copper color with light brown interior. The current color is blue blue with black interior. I have the original seats that were with the car and can be included with the sale at full price. New wiring harnesses have been installed and need to be check for dash connections. Some of the gauges do not operate, I don't believe it's the wiring, I'm thinking it the gauges or the dash connection. This is a great example of a rust free car with very little need to make perfect. This car has no rust and has not been repaired in anyway. If you are familiar with these car you will understand how rare this is. It the reason I bought the car and will be one of the only AMX's not repaired or panels replaced in it's lifetime. The engine was upgraded to a 401 CID. Original car had a 360 motor. Great care was taken in the rebuilding of the engine by Hanz engine house here in Casselberry Florida. I have over $12000 into the engine and another $4000 in the transmission and rear end. Here's what's been done. Rear main bearing oil tube in block. Rare 1970 high compression dog leg heads stamped 3216291. The following was included in the build Clevite rod bearing, Clevite main bearings, Clevite camshaft bearings, Hasting Moly piston ring, Hypereutectic pistons, Teflon coated 10.56:1, Melling oil pump, new aluminum timing cover, Comp Cam performance TRUE double roller timing set, Fel-Pro complete gasket set, Bras freeze plugs, OEM Factory paint color, Performance Viton Valve Seals, new stainless intake valves, new stainless exhaust valves, Pushrod guide plates, Comp Cam double valve springs, Spring retainers, spring seats, 10 degree valve locks, valve lifters, Xtreme energy hydraulic camshaft-valve lift .520/523, advertised duration: 274/286, duration@.050 230/236, lobe sep. Angle 110, new correct externally balanced flywheel, ARP flex plate bolts, ARP intake manifold bolts. Block and parts hot tanked and checked. Block bored/honed .040', Mains line honed, crankshaft checked and polished, crankshaft balanced with correct flywheel and balancer, Connecting rods resized and balanced, cylinder heads rebuilt with new parts detailed above and serdi 3/angle valve job, cylinder heads machined for Pushrod guide plates. I have a CD that shows the complete rebuild from the engine shop. This is a professionally rebuilt with performance measured at 475 hp when put on the computer. Original transmission that was rebuilt with high performance racing parts. Needs additional adjustment, as it goes through the gears too quickly. Just haven't had the time to address. High performance torque command Jw Transmission 2.77 helical gear set to rebuilt, 3000 stall converter, finned deep aluminum pan w/drain. High performance serpentine belt systems installed. Equipment by Bulltear. Milled aluminum brackets and pullies. This is the only system that is turly for AMC Javelins. New power sterling unit, new high performance aluminum radiator with double fan fir extreme cooling. New starter and all new electronics. New MSD box with all plugs and electronics wired professionally. Headman headers 1 5/8 inch headers to 2 1/2 inch H-pipe dual exhaust. New T/A radials with under 500 miles. New master cylinder and brake about a year ago. Quick fuel carburetor brand new and only on the car for a few months before put into storage. New optima batter which has been on a battery tender since new. Interior completely restored with new carpet and new panel. I have over $3000 invested in the interior. All broken panel replaced. Most are original panels and have been vinyl painted to the new black color. Seat are professionally recovered to their original state as they were from the factory. AMC aluminum milled valve covers by Bulltear.com. So many other new part to list, please call if you have any questions. I have this for sale locally and reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. This car is for sale as is. The shipping of this vehicle is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
