You are bidding on a 1980 Corvette with a rare 4-speed manual transmission. I am selling this for my mother as part of my step-father's estate. This was purchased as a project car. The mechanical work was completed, but the car was put into long-term storage before any of the cosmetic exterior/interior work was begun. I am re-listing this car as the previous high bidder failed to send the required deposit. Exterior: Overall the body panels are in good condition with no damage, but the car will definitely need to be repainted. It is difficult to see in the pictures, but the original color of the car is a dark green. Interior: The interior is complete and original but is showing it's age. There are no holes in the leather seats, but the leather shows some cracking. They are serviceable as they are if you just want to drive and enjoy the car, but if you want to dress up the interior, they will need some attention. The factory stereo was replaced at some point with an aftermarket cassette stereo. Engine & Mechanicals: The 350 V-8 engine has been rebuilt and is in excellent running condition. It has under 1,000 miles on the engine since the rebuild. The transmission was rebuilt at the same time as the engine and the clutch operates smoothly. The brakes are also in good operating condition. The buyer could consider driving this car home, though if you live far away you may still want to consider having it shipped. General: This car is being sold as-is, with no warranty. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if a local buyer is found. If you would like to view the car, please contact me to make arrangements and please do not ask me what the reserve price is. $500 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of auction, and one week to make payment in full unless you contact me to make other arrangements. After that time the car will be re-listed. Will accept payment via cash, or bank check only. Buyer is responsible for any shipping. No foreign bidders or bidders with zero feedback.
