Odometer reads 8,950 im sure its flipped atleast once. Listed very cheap for a quick sale, this car is worth about $12,000 in perfect condition. Its not perfect show quality but really nice, restored years ago and shows a little age but its in great condition. Its hard to find these flat windshield bugs in good condition. In the pictures it has the old black interior in great condition but its all been replaced with brand new deluxe reproduction kit in light tan/off white seat covers, door panels, rear panels, door handles and sunvisors. The seat covers have not been attached yet, you can do that yourself. Original floorpans with no rust but the passenger rear has been replaced due to battery rot (an original pan was cut from another bug and put in) New chrome original style wheels and caps, new tires and new spare tire, new bumpers that have got a little surface rust over the past few months from sitting outside, it has new bumper brackets, new headlight rings, original white repaint (disassembled and done right with new window, top, and most body seals), all new brake lines, new battery, new tail light assemblies, new convertible top seals, new window seals and many other trim parts. It still has all the cardboard insulation and tool kit under the front hood. The engine was just replaced with a rebuilt (a few years ago with some miles on it) 1,600 dual port that has a 87mm big bore piston and jug kit, performance camshaft, 009 electronic ignition distributor, new quiet high performance exhaust system and a new stage 1 clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing and a brand new carburetor. The driver side valve cover has a slight leak. It also comes with the original engine that has a locked piston and the black interior I took out. The brakes are smooth, drives good but has just a little slack in the steering. Ive put about 300 miles on it in the past year. If you want the original engine you will have to arrange shipping or pick it up. Clean clear title. I need cash fast or I wouldn't be selling it for a 3rd of its value.
